I have only seen 2 being driven. So where do all the dumb people live that are buying them?

TeeWJay426

I've only seen 3 on the street myself, and one more at the dealer. Based on my own observations, don't think much of anybody is buying them..... ::)
74 Charger SE, 400 HP, 4-speed

41husk

I have seen a few in the St.louis area, about 20 probably.
1969 Dodge Charger 500 440/727
1970 Challenger convertible 340/727
1970 Plymouth Duster FM3
1974 Dodge Dart /6/904
1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

Dale The Bold

I've seen the same one three times.  Always on my way to work.
Matt. 14:8 (KJV) "And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, 'give me here John Baptist's head in a Charger.'"

69bananabeast

they've probably got 20's on them as well or will have in the future   :haha:

I've seen   2 , one dealership and one on highway (only recognized the front, otherwise it was a galant)
1969 Charger  446
1970 Charger  318
1932 Ford Rat Rod   (under construction)

The Mad Scientist

I've only seen two on the road.   It's a good thing those cars are quick, if they go fast enough, maybe the ugly won't catch up.

bull

I've seen one at a car rental lot, two at a dealership and two more at the Woodburn Mopar Nationals. I have yet to see one on the street. DCX is probably fudging the sales numbers already.

Plumcrazy

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

blackcharger

one on the street, and one at the Mopar trailer at the Nats, and there wasn't anyone EVEN close to it. A guy working at the trailer looked at me while I walked past,so I stuck my finger in my throat and gagged. he didn;t care for that. :puke:

PocketThunder

One on the road.  one at the steal-ership....

8 on the road, and a dozen outside my window at the dealership

MoparYoungGun

I have seen a couple parked at various local delarships but other than that nothing.

MichaelRW

One on the road and two at the dealership. I was so unimpressed with the two at the dealership, I didn't even stop to look closer. Those cars have no "presence". Just looked like another bread & butter car.

My mom works at a way big Dodge dealer in DFW.  They sell 500 rigs a month, she said last month they sold 6 Chargers.  But the 300's sell as fast as they get them.  She's driving one as a demo now.  She asked for a Charger demo, so I'm waiting back for a report.

Up here I've seen 4 with plates, 2 driving and I believe 2 were rental cars.

I do however see a bunch taking up space at the dealerships.

Reminds me of the "Island of Misfit toys"!!!!

I think I've seen four on the road now. Almost got behind one in my '66 440 Charger when it was coming out of the dealership lot with a big test driver sign on the side of it. That would have been fun.

I've seen the same R/T on the road 3 times, and an SXT and R/T at the dealership, so I've seen 3 total.

69_500

I've seen probably about 100 on the road since they first came out. Then again consider that at Carlisle I probably saw 30 of them.

Charger_Fan

I've seen exactly 3.
A few days ago I saw a black one in a parking lot.
A couple weeks ago I saw a red one driving the opposite direction.
And, the first one I saw was in the back parking lot at a car show held at a Mopar dealer on June 26th...it didn't look like it had been washed in 3 weeks.
This is the one from that show, the pic makes it look cleaner than it was.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I have only seen 2 on the road. There's 2 I been seeing at 2 different dealerships that are not selling. They been there ever since they were out to the public. That's the only good thing that happened in the hurricane.... A few of the Charger wanna be cars were wiped out.

JimShine

I have seen 13 now, 6 of which on my trip back and forth between Connecticut to Maine. Most have been red, but I saw quite a few silver ones during the trip.

Johnny SixPack

20-25 of 'em now.

Saw my first in the middle of nowhere-Wyoming (silver).

Same with the second (white).

The rest were in Michigan (mainly the Woodward Dream Cruise, and the week leading up to it).

Quite a few "Daytonas" and even an SRT-8 or two there.

The night before the cruise found one guy and his black "06 parked with some people checkin' out the car.

Also saw one at the hotel I stayed at in Alabama (silver again).

Black is the only color that makes it palatable IMO.

Well, it's not that bad.

It just gets lost in the sea of sameness more often than not.

I took my Charger out Thursday for only the third time this year, went down to the "cheap" station, while waiting for the light to change at the intersection a '06 sedan tried to beat me to the pump (silver sxt), so guess who won...   ;D
A bunch of kids waiting for the bus there & watching this cheered as I whupped it's sorry 4 door ass,.. he drove on...   musta been kinda embarrased..   :-[
So any how, it cost me $47.oo to fill up with premium and the tank wasn't empty...   :icon_smile_shock:

Seen about 4 or five on my way to work the last month or so.

Saw my first one when I was driving my real charger last Friday.  I was going down the main highway and he was at the intersection at the light.  He just stared at me.

Well, 5 miles later as we both exited the same ramp, I was turning right and he was turning left.  I had to wait about a minute  to turn.  I looked in my rearview mirror and noticed two guys in a truck behind me were pointing to my charger and the bastard twin next to me.

I then hit it and took off with a smile on my face. :)

I could sweat that guy in the sxt next to me felt this small as everybody around him was comparing the real charger to the fake new one!!!

I Love It!!! ;D

I have seen two on the road. I have seen five or six on dealer lots.

6670charger

I've seen a few on the road near me.  Of the three I can recall, they have been over the course of the entire summer.

The ones I saw @ the Dream Cruise were probably demos DCX had out for product introduction.

For a modern car, it's not half bad.   :P

Soulless and homogenized, but slightly better than the other soulless, homogenized modern cars on the road. :2thumbs:

Why, so they stop making RWD performance cars altogether?
[/quote

Nope just hopeing that they flop like the GTO so the car makers can see that if they misuse a classic name on a car that resembles it in no way, it will flop and that we who care about the classics arent just a bunch of idiots. As far as the whole rear wheel drive thing, if thats all their going to offer as a rear wheel drive then I dont care if they stop making them, I'll keep my classic and go buy a Ford.

Rock hard interior pieces? The ones I've test driven had two-tone, leather interiors.

As for the sales figures... If those are actual figures it looks like Chrysler might be much smarter than many here give them credit for. Apparantly it is less than 90 cars away from selling 17,000 Chargers within only four months (a couple of thousand of which were sold before the Charger was commercially "unleashed), a year after selling butt-loads of Magnum Wagons, a year after selling butt-loads of 300s, a year after most everyone in the United States either purchased or owned a new car because of the zero percent financing offers that were part of the Sept. 11 fall-out; all while Ford and GM's sales and - most importantly- stocks ratings tanked.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.

I have only seen one...it lives about 3 miles from me.  We try to drive the blower Charger past it as often as possible.  It is black, though it has dealer tags so it may not be permanent there.
I had my truck in the shop at the dealership last week and checked out the R/T Charger.  Looks OK from the outside in black (4 doors are less obvious in black) but the inside is such a dissapointment.  They are just like my old Stratus...boring.
