Blue book isnt always accurate, I usually do not go buy it. But even then its worth $1500 (fair) to $2300 (excellent). Prices can't be very far even state by state, so I dont see your point. A good truck is a good truck anywhere.
Some members on here are so stuck up in their ass with "mopar" that they do not realize there are other cars that are just as good or even better than your rusty Charger project sitting in your shed for past 10 years while you're "restoring" it. Just something to think about guys. Rant off.

:icon_smile_big:  funny

The upgrades on it are good, would cost a lot to buy all that and put it on.   Mostly is would depend on the condition, running and looks, there is a lot of room in price,  would have to see pics,     there is a stock one down the road asking 1800 that isn't all that great looking, just sort of a work truck.    If it has all that, and nice wheels, good body and color,  looks cool, in really nice shape, could be 3 or 4 grand, IMO

Ok, just saw pics, ya, that's a fair deal for 2500, if its in good running shape and hasn't been hammered on 4x-ing.   The value if it if its a decent fixed up 4x4 truck is around that IMO, will hold that value.

but then again, with the gas hikes, those are prob. not selling to well, that will get pretty bad mileage man

here's some pics

Did the guy really sell his house & move to Canada? I see snow on the ground & it's June.  :shruggy:

It looks good & I say buy it, but make sure he gives you a good snow brush & not the el cheapo plastic ones that you get from Wally-Mart. Those things break all the time, & if there's ice on the windows, it'll never get it off. Plus, the truck is older & the windshield probably has lots of scrapes & scratches in it. They allow the water that freezes to cling really strong to the glass making the ice even tougher to get off.

You'll need one of those extension-telescopic type scrapers to reach all the way over the fenders to the center. I always hate it when the sun starts to melt the snow on the roof & it drips down to the fenders, then having my jacket touch a wet fender & then soak through all the way to my shirt. It sucks sitting in a cold truck in the morning waiting for the wet spot on your shirt to dry. Sometimes you have to keep paper towels in the cab to absorb the water, or at least use it as a barrier so it isn't as cold.

This would be another great, counter-offer kind of thing. Tell him about how the ice clings to the glass & that there is no paper towel rack over the seat back. See if he'll cut more off the price, but if he doesn't, tell him to pound salt & go sit in his wet shirt. Might be a good idea to look at his neighbor's '85 Toyota behind the wood fence in the photos. I bet that one is better on gas & probably has less miles on it. Maybe if you say you're going to go look at it, he'll think you're more serious.

Just don't wait until Thanksgiving to try, he might need the truck to go get a turkey.  :shruggy:

Its in the off topic section, asked for our help/opinion.    :icon_smile_blackeye:
haha, I can appreciate those funny posts.

I didn't check what part of country it is, but if it has seen salt in winter, (midwest, etc.), then I would change my estimate.  lower (I don't know)

If the truck was out here in seattle, no salt, it is worth the money he is asking.

Hey, thanks.

               Yup,     Mopars are the best!!!

Hey Silver R/T, if you showed up with 17 or 18 one hundred dollar bills, its hard to turn down cash when it is right there,  price can drop quite a bit under those circumstances.

I don't need too much, just something to haul parts around and once in a whle maybe pull Charger on a trailer. Something that wouldn't get stuck in the middle of the road.

Just started looking on craigs list.  Here is one for $2000.   That one you are looking at is WAY better, looks way better, newer, lifted, 4x4, 3/4 ton good for towing,  nice wheels, etc.

Here is one I found.   only a 1/2 ton 2wd
1975 Ford F100. Long bed Ranger XLT Pickup
Runs great. V8 Automatic. Well maintained.
99,000 miles.  $2000.

Another ad, no pic,  $2000.

Selling a 1985 F350 4X4 Crew Cab pickup. Truck has utility bed also. Dual tanks. Truck has a ford 351 with two barrel carb. in it. Removed clutch fan and installed a electric fan for cooling in it to save on fuel. Trunk runs good and new tie rods where installed less than a year ago. The price is firm.

This one is $2500.   yours is WAY better IMO, this thing is sort of beat and not lifted, not a 4x4

1986 Ford F250 Super Duty Pickup
Started to restore. Big block V8,143,000 mis., new windshield, new chrome rear bumper, cargo mat,bed toolbox, new brakes, tinted windows. Good work truck.

You guys wanna see an $800 dollar truck here?  beat 2wd 1/2 ton, beat body, knocking motor, needs new windshield

1978 Ford Custom150 pickup - $800
302 engine... good tires and all original. 3rd owner has plenty of power and runs good... interior is good. Needs a windshield (left a pop can on the dash and it blew last summer blowing a hole in the windshield. Body has dents and top motor knock. Clean title am open to cash as well as possible trades. Come drive it away.

That truck he is looking at for 2000, good deal IMO

Newer ford here, pretty nice shape, 1/2 ton 2wd

1991 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 2WD - $3800

none of these 1/2 tons are the best for towing though, that one he is looking at is 3/4 ton, big difference

You guys think that truck is worth 500 to 800?  heh, look at this one,  $2250.  no kidding

1968 Ford 3/4 ton Pickup, styleside - $2250

**1978 Ford Pickup** - $1500

1978 Ford Pickup, rebuilt 460 motor. Reupholstered interior. Much work done to this truck, it goes very fast! If you need something hauled this is the truck for you! :]

hmm, has a rebuilt gas guzzling 460, but sort of beat looking 2wd

I guess old trucks cost a lot around here

After looking at those, compare to this:

85 ford F250,   351 with an edelbrock intake and carb, 4 speed, 4wd works great! 4:10 gears posi front and rear, 2 inch suspension lift lift with 33 inch tires, very sound and solid truck    $2000.

come on, $2000?   thats bitchin, has a four speed too, you could find that piece of door trim easy
