I used to travel alot in Florida with my old job and I highly recommend seeing a night launch.

I saw one from Daytona Beach.  It was a midnight launch.

We went out to the beach and expected to see maybe a few people out there.  there were probably a couple of hundred people out there.

First you see it take off, everybody yells and hollers and then about 30 seconds later, the roar of the shuttle comes in.  It is amazing as that sound wave hits your chest.

We watched it take off into the night sky for about 8 minutes until it disappered.

One of the highlights of traveling with my old job!! :yesnod:
