It's funny how some lawmakers try to ban things like semi-auto pistols, High-Capacity mags, and rifles with "good looking" features...

Some day some dude is going to take .22 rifle and do some damage, while they scramble to make STUPID gun laws.  They do not do enough to JAIL CRIMINALS that use them.  Do you know it is a Misdemenor in Ca to have a concealed LOADED firearm, but a FELONY to have a double-edged knife (and several other types)  What the?

im not exactly sure, but i think here in florida if you shoot someone breaking into your house it's considered self defence because the person breaking in could have a gun as well. at least thats what i've been told.

When it comes to guns laws politicians talk about tightening gun laws but like everything else it means nothing

In reality if certain politicians have their way they would outright ban all guns and forcefully remove all guns from anyone who has them.

Ray Nagin in New Orleans tried it after hurricane Katrina and Barbara Boxer in California wants to do that very thing. She has come right out and admitted that she wants to enact a law confiscating all firearms (aren't you glad her party won congress)

So in the meantime they enact all sorts of stupid laws meant to make people feel good about getting guns out of the hands of criminals, but in reality it does no such thing.

So then some moron uses a gun in a commission of a particularly heinous crime and everyone gets all freaked out and says "We need MORE gun laws" and then they try to add more meaningless regulation to try to ban guns. But the stupid politicians forget one thing

Criminals do not care about gun laws because by definition they are criminals and do not obey laws anyway, that's what makes them criminal. So the only thing more gun laws do is criminalize law abiding citizens.

But just like everything else politicians think enacting laws will effect a persons behavior and if that does not work enact more laws and more laws and more laws. It's just like money, people/politicians believe if you throw enough money at a problem it will be solved, if that does not work then throw even more money at it and continue to do so until you run out then raise taxes on people who have money so you have more money to throw at the problem.

I think that here in Canada if you shoot someone for breaking into your house it is a crime but if you shoot someone because they stood up in front of you at the hockey game to go and get popcorn, just as a goal was scored it is a minor offense.      

I don't really encounter guns on a regular basis up here so I can honestly say I don't pay too much attention to the gun laws here or in the United States.  Hope it all works out for everyone.

some 12 year old douchebag here just got locked up for bringing a gun to school.  It was his old man's gun, they guy is a retired cop. gun was registered, locked in a lock box and everything.  little fuck stole the key.

Incidentally, I am not for guns at all, just not my thing.  I live in suburbia. the only guys around here that have guns are hunters, criminals, or whitey trying to be a tough guy.  if I lived in the stix, i might feel different with the nearest cop 15-30 minutes away while some crackhead is breaking into my house...

In Florida, you can shoot someone who breaks into your house only if you are in fear of your life.  Someone can walk right in and unplug the tv you're watching and walk out the door and as long as they didn't put you in fear of your life,  you'd be charged if you shot them!  Crappy laws!
