I bought my 72 SE with an after market sunroof some goofball isntalled, and its a bad installation at that.  Is it really hard to get the body line decent if i take it out and attempt to sheetmetal it again?  I am not abody man, I can weld, but with that I know it will shrink/contract the roof a bit.  Any suggestions?

Take it out. It wil leak and rust athe whole roof. Mine did that somebody also put in awhile ago. Its rusted through in small spots.

Ive got a roof for sale from a 73 SE if youre interested.  Located in central Iowa.  Pretty sure that from the c pillars forward its the same as your car.

I dont have an answer for you..........just a warning...  My best pal pulled out the aftermarket sunroof that had been installed in his 72 Rallye. He "attempted"  to patch the hole by welding in sheetmetal.        "It will be easy..... I can weld...."     He totally F@#cked up the roof in process. Its warped all to hell now and without questioon needs a complete roof replacement.
