We are thinking about trading in our 73 Challenger project for a 69 Charger project.

Not that I have been keeping up with the Charger end of things, but for thoses that might know...

I will always love the 68/69 the most...and likely will always hate the 4-door wanna be thingies they have just put out...what an insult...but who am I to rant and rave...lol

My Uncle had a 68, and I always wanted a 69...so we have begun to consider the move

I think you will do ok, but I misread.  Ithought you were trading a 73 Charger prject for a 69 Charger.  You can't go wrong there, value wise those E bodies are rediculouse.

Yeah I am not sure many have really read it... the Challenger and Charger name look a lot alike, and many will asume Charger...considering this is a ...Charger board - lol

But if you go over to the Challenger board you can't find chargers...so...

and yes the E bodies are nutz in the pricing...

i don't think you'll be WAY off.. let's take identical cars for example. a decent running driving 72-74 challenger can be had for 10k or less. and you can find a decent running driving charger for around $10-12k. so i know that you can either 1. find someone with a charger who wants to trade straight up. or 2. sell your challenger, and not have to fork much if any out of pocket to find a project 69 charger. and you'll be happier..  :)

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

It all boils down to what you want, and what sacrifices you are willing to make to get it!!!    In reality....the price of restoring an "E" body is, in my opinion, totally nuts!!!   I'd go for the Charger!!!   Just my  :Twocents:

A 73 Challenger resto is worth half the money against a 69 Charger, i think that says it all

I think the prices are close, I have seen 73-74 E bodies (Cudas even more) going for 15-20K, just crazy

Hey I will throw my wife in ... its her car...hows that for sacrifice..lol JK
yeah we are running the idea up the pole.  the 73 is hers and I thought I would work it out to get her the 72....(then trade the 73 in for a Charger for me)

Right now she looks set in keeping her 73, and I have yet to see the 72 in my driveway... so I guess I will have a plan this month...
