Back from the freezing darkness...

Well, the power just came back on a couple of hours ago... It went off here at 7:22 Thursday evening during the huge Ice storm :o Came back on at 8:00 tonight (Saturday) Two days and two nights of trying to keep the pipes from freezing in the house AND at the Ol' Lady's beauty shop, cooking our meals on a Coleman camp stove, burning every candle we own down to a nub and generally living like it's 1840  ::) Finally found a place this morning that had kerosene so I could fire up the portable heaters, 'course we paid through the nose for it >:(

BTW We're in southern Illinois, just east of St. Louis...

Relief at last...
I might even get a hot shower tonight  :boogie:
