Anyone know how to get around passing emissions with race car? If it were my Charger I wouldn't have to worry about it but with Cobra I can't get collectors plates yet.

Can't you just get seasonal plates.April 1st through Oct' 31st only. It would keep you from having to get IM that way. Thats how it works here,Alaska. Also, you or anyone else will not get a race car to pass emissions either.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

In Wisconsin, They have plates called "Hobbiest" plates. Basically meaning you can't drive the car as a daily driver and or in the winter. You also don't have to take them for emmissions. I am in a county that doesn't have emmissions testing, so I don't have to worry about it.

Check your State laws carefully - in Ohio you can get specialty/collector car plates on a Cobra due to the limited production. This makes them emissions exempt. All Cobras should have a certificate and a special tag designating the car number.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I have not tried this yet, but a friend I have in Ut told me that he just puts fuel system cleaner in the tank then runs the car for about 20 miles. He does the testing so I think he may be onto something. I also never had problems getting my 72 or anyother car to pass back home in CA, a friend of the family ran the station  ;D

This is 95 Cobra, needs to be 25 or older to have collectors plates on it. I have them on my Charger. I was thinking about getting Cobra authenticated so then maybe I could try and get them to give me special waiver or something
