THE COLONEL

You know, if you want to do that from a shell and build it like that from the ground up....fine. But you don't do it to an original Hemi car, no matter the condition. :RantExplode: :boxing_smiley: :iamwithstupid:

Notice how this moron talks like the 4X4 project will still continue???   "Once completed it will have the shifting smoothness of a car, but 4 wheel drive traction to deliver the power to the ground."

Who in their right mind would waste a HEMI car, I mean VIN...?

DC_1

If I were to be the winning bidder shipping would be chaeap!...........I would tell him to pull the VIN tag, fendertag, and any other validation information and put in a Fedex envelope and overnight it to me. The rest he can keep.

Now I have seen everything.  :o     This one will wind up being one of those cars that are featured that have some sort of twist to the story of their restoration and the owner will tell of how original the car is and rust free when they started the resto. They will also probably say that they found the numbers matching Hemi in the back of a truck bed a couple of feet away!  ::)

I don't know if I'm more suprised what someone did to this car or that someone is actually willing to pay $4,000 for it.

What the hell is this?   ???

I suspect that is one of the two 27 gallon fuel tanks intended for the car...truck....whatever the hell it's supposed to be.

It looks to me like it's been a rot box longer than it was a decent car. That means nobody wanted it way back when it cost more to repair that it was worth. (Just a used car that happened to be a POS) Judging by the way it was cut & left to rust, it's been that way a long time. The motor was probably blown, the car was probably beat on, & I'd be willing to bet the seller had nothing to do with it's current state. If I were more interested in a VIN tag than just having a Charger, my rust free '68 shell would be instantly bottom halved so I could have a Hemi car. Someone will pay way too much for it, just watch.

As for this car being at a show next year as a restored Hemi car, it's quite possible. I just decided recently that whoever buys it for the stupid money they pay deserves it.

Okay, I am the flag bearer for saving a Hemi Charger and there is no hope but I'll bet this one will be a BJ Auction next year with a "Warranty Block" and all original sheetmetal.  I can see the listing now.....

1968 Hemi R/T Charger  (Okay if you are talking about the VIN)
Date Code Correct Warranty Block (because the original was no where to be found)
All Original Sheetmetal Car (The donor car that is)
Numbers match core support and trunk lip (Because we cut them of the rotting carcass)
Date code correct transmission (Found a 68 one up in the attic)
Many new parts (Because there was noting left of the originals to restore)
Interesting History (Once owned by a compete fu*king Moron)
Buy with confidence from HLPAG (Ask Troy, go ahead ask him)
$175.000.00 Reserve

I am a little shocked to seeing it hold at $4,000.00. As far as it being to far gone to save. Well, nothing a 318 B-body would not solve.

After saving mine when it broke in half from rust and the aftermarket had not kicked in yet that one can be saved. I just wonder again if all the Vin's are on the remains.
