i got a friend who has come across a set of new poverty caps he says they have tghe holes all around them, didn't that start in the '80s?..

i like the dodge type with the orange/red band around the side.. but these are for the Plymouth a '1971 road runner and i wanna know if they are ok for her... or will draw groans from the stockaholics...  ;D

I like the dog dishes with the orange/red band around them myself for Chargers.

It's unfortunate that the orange/red stripe dog dishes are so expensive now.  They were available in either aluminum or stainless steel.  I would like a stainless set and have heard rumours that they have been reproduced but have not been able to find out if this is true or not.  There are literally hundreds of reproduction hubcaps available and you would think that with people paying $400 plus for a nice set that these would be available as reporductions.

Unless you're trying to make it concour's perfect put on whatever you like Strat.  Screw the purists.

Dave, i have seen the poverty caps (with holes) on steelies and they look fine allthough not "correct" for that model year. The "holed" caps are vented for cooling, supposedly  ??? and came on Police cars. The solid caps with the red circle are OEM for that era.

Extra cooling holes, sounds cool, functional.    They would look good.  Why not.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.
