It's easy. You just don't lead them as much. You see, anyone that runs, is V.C. Anyone that stands still is well disciplined V.C. Ain't war hell?

My wife is Vietnamese and wanted to see the "American" perspective of the war. So we have seen most of those movies.

that is interesting.  jow    that is hello I think.

Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Apocolypse Now,  even Forest Gump has some Nam scenes,
Hamburger Hill?  was that Vietnam or WWII, can't remember now,

I wonder what a person from Vietnam would think about American perspective, watching those movies.

I bet there are a bunch others I can't remember at the moment.

Vietnam.  Based on an actual assault by the Army's 187th IR, Screaming Eagles.
Off/On topic.   It's really sad how Veterans were/are treated sometimes when they come home.  :rotz:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Hello is Xin Chao so you are pretty close.

My wife was born in '81 so she only learned about the war in school. Even then it was only what her "government" allowed to be taught. She was taught that Vietnam (as a united country) defeated the US and we invaded their country. She said because everyone fought - men, women & children.
