Well, it's a western, and the idea was prompted by the earlier discussion of the former mayor of Carmel, CA.   :scratchchin:

I never really liked western, seen most of the well known ones like the good, the bad and the ugly but other than those I am really unfamiliar with them.

Well, this one starred Clint Eastwood, and is more of a "modern classic."  Won a lot of awards, as I recall.

mikepmcs

I think the movie you are talking about would be 1992 "Unforgiven"
Morgan Freeman and "The Eastwood"

Don't forget Gene Hackman and Richard Harris

It won Academy Awards for Best Actor(supporting Role (Gene Hackman)), Best Director, Best Film Editing and Best Picture. It was also nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Clint Eastwood), Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Cinematography, Best Sound and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. Unforgiven was inducted into the United States National Film Registry in 2004.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

The Filth and the Fury...

"We see our role as essentially defensive in nature. While our armies are advancing so fast and everyone's knocking themselves out to be heroes, we are holding ourselves in reserve in case the Krauts mount a counteroffensive which threatens Paris... or maybe even New York. Then we can move in and stop them."

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

It seems that I did not post a quote last nite. :slap: Here you go. It shouldnt be too hard.

This place doesn't have porn. They think its immoral. You know, that really grinds my gears. Where in the bible does it say that a man can't fire off some knuckle-children in the privacy of his own neighbor's living room while his neighbor's at work because I don't have a DVD player? Well, I don't know where it says it because the Bible was way too long to read!

Family Guy.

Let's get back to the movies for real now.

easy one and probably a duplicate.

Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows.

So who's in this Pentavirate?

The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, *and* Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"

So I married an axe murderer! That movie was too funny with loads of great one liners!

Good fellas
Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris
