There are some tiny cracks in the bottom of my gas tank. I was wonderring if I could use some of that gas tank repair stuff they sell at Advance and then put maybe some rubberized undercoating or bed liner on top of it? Anyone tried this?

For what it is worth, you can get a new reproductions gas tank for around $200 and save your self many problems, you can spend several $ on repair and find you still need to replace the piece.  Just my opinion. Best of luck!

I guess I neglected to mention it's for my 1964 Fairlane not my Charger. Already replaced my Charger's. I have had a whale of a time finding a gas tank for the Pherd.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

I've had the Fairlane for almost 2 years I guess but it's been on the back burner as I tinkered with the Charger. Well now that the engine/tranny/driveshaft are out of the Charger and I've seen the damage battery acid does I figured I'd spend some time on the Fairlane until I realize the Charger isn't in such bad shape after all. Did the same thing with my 73 Opel GT. Though it's gone now. Here's the link to some pictures of the Fairlane and some of the Fairlane and Charger. If you look around the album some you'll find some pictures of my birthday cake ;D. There's also some pictures of a Packard and Alfa I'm thinking about buying from the bodyshop next to my work. The Alfa has been sitting there for 10 years and it shows. That is all you can see of the car. The Packard has been there for 15. Like I need more projects. Time for me to go put the car on jackstands. Blocks better keep the car from rolling. Enjoy.

No one really said if it'd work or not so there's one way to find out. I didn't get that putty stuff.

Yep. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
