Ok I got in a fender bender with my stout 92 jeep wrangler, and recieved minimal damage, but believe it or not it actually was a pretty bad wreck. First of all I had to re-arch the front springs back to normal old school style with a very large pipe prying in the right direction. but it worked. Then about two weeks later the rear ujoint at the differential came loose and I lost the driveshaft...on the highway. Anyway when I got it back home driving it in 4wheel to use the front driveshaft, and began to fix the u joint I found the yoke which has small edes on the outside to keep the u joint in, had broken off.  So I need a new yoke, but my buddies tell me I shouldn't do this myself.  After rebuilding an engine I am pretty confident, but I know the torque of the bolt/yoke is important in relationship to the functioning of the rear end...does anyone know what to specifically be careful with when changing out a yoke, and is it really that big of a deal?

when the yolk is retorqued it needs to be torqued to the proper spec to put the correct amount of load on the brgs , I doubt it will have a crush sleeve but if it does it will need to be replaced or retorqued to the exact spec or you may distroy the diff / gears / brgs
