Can some one photoshop my Charger with black doors with the 1970  R/T scoop, and black vinyl top?
Also if you want go crazy with the background cars :D

do an internet search...1970 (or any year) Charger R/T pictures are plentiful in just about every color.

Also, did that brain of yours come equipped with an imagination???

If so, please don't waste people's time with silly requests.....especially on a car needing such MAJOR work!!

It will take multiple 10 thousand dollar bankrolls - before color choice becomes an issue.

So I've been building some concepts for my '71 restomod project, and came up with a couple of new ideas.  I was originally thinking about doing a yellow/black NASCARBee thing with the car, but have since obtained R/T doors which change the whole direction of the car's styling.  The R/T doors give the car an almost sharklike set of features, so I'm thinking about going with a dark blue/gray color (still trying to nail it, but can't quite get it right in photoshop).  Anyway, here are a couple of examples of some new ideas.  The first one is a simple RT street/NASCAR blended styling exersize.  The second puts a bit more NASCAR flavor into the mix by using some ghosted logos from the 3rd gen Petty Charger.  Any thoughts?

First the "plain" version:  R/T doors, mildly radiused front fenders, lowered, and NASCAR style wheels (done badly in Photoshop).

With rear window louvers, some ghosted NASCAR logos on the side...The idea being that the logos should be just barely visible when you see the car from about 10 feet or so away, but not really noticable up close.

i think those are good directions to expore, and the rendering aint too bad, they give the idea...
i like both directions, howabout a makoshark style fade on the bottom of the shark car?...

and I'm fond of the STP Red twotone Petty car as well,..

Now,.. can you do Bobs' Roof?..

69bronzeT5

On one note of the pictures, I vote no louvers for the Charger.

Hmmm...maybe too much of a good thing?  Those mako fades make the car look way too aquatic to me.   :smilielol:

I would do a solid color and maybe add R/T stripes.

I vote YES for the louvers.

Stayed up till 2 last night going through this thread!  :2thumbs:
Hey DS, if you got the time I got a special request. I'd like to see my 66 with 2 tone paint: metallic silver on the bottom and a deep metallic blue on top (hood, roof, trunk, under the tail lights, etc.). I've also got this crazy idea of putting 68 charger tail lights in place of the full length tail lights. Love to see how that would look. Thanks!

Musicman

Sorry about the image quality, but it's the best I could find at the moment :icon_smile_big:
As far as the crazy idea of putting 68 tail lights on a 1st Gen.... Yeah, your right, it was a crazy idea :scratchchin:

Here you go John-o. The stupid TTI's fought me the WHOLE way. I'm still learning as I go so don't expect DS quality :icon_smile_wink:

Actually, I have to go with the all chrome ones in the center picture

The black centered ones with the chromish ring around them make it look like whitewalls to me.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

69charger440

Well as some may know my 69 Charger is getting new quarters and all the body work done in 3 weeks.

So I am trying to figure out what color to do. I like the silver but also like the dark gray. So DS, if you could please help me out.

Maybe a color in between silver and dark gray!! And 69 RT black strip with/without BLACK 6 Pak scoop. Also FOOSE Nitrous chrome rims.

Thanks a bunch!!!

Since DS hasn't been online since late September, I'll see what I can do. If someone can find me a good image of a grey or silver '69 I'd appreciate it. A '68 would work too since I'm good at swapping those 2 years.
