how the lifter preload effect in idle quality ,I have a problem whit it in my new motor and preload it 3/4 turn in crane 1,6:1 rollers
???  less or more or ...

test drive in picture,pulling hard ,but that idle is f.....g pain in the a,,

lifter preload should have no efect on idle , the lifter Should adjust so the valve is fuilly closed on the seat & open 100 % - a small amount  the preload just keeps the piston in the lifter in the middle of the travel
