Anyone live near or in Wenatchee,WA. or Vancouver,WA.? Looking at buying some property with or w/o a house on it down there. I'm doing research already on line and through a friend who lives in WA. right now also. Just wondering if anyone knows of some acreage for sale like 1, 2 or ? acres for sale. I told the wife, I'm through with the winters here. She agreed to start looking finally. I have a new garage picked out already also soon as we find a place to live.

We're in Vancouver.  There's not a lot of acreage that won't cost an arm and leg w/o being out of town.  The only areas left will most likely be on the east side, (east of I-205).  Or the Camas-Washougal area.
To the north, Ridgefield, may still have decent pricing & acres or Woodland.  Although lots of people are moving out there already so the pickings may be slimmer.  ???

I like how you have your gargage picked out already, the heck with a house.  ;D

We're looking mostly for out of town places. But yet close enough to drive to work within a reasonable amount of time also. Camas and Washoagal are also a maybe. Port Angeles is where I lived before and Kennewick. Haven't 100% decided where to live just yet. I want some land for sure. I want to put up a 30x40 garage are bigger so I can work on my cars without my neighbors being so damn nosey like here, 20 feet away.

If you are moving from Alaska to get away from the winters - Wenatchee isn't the place to go.  Cold and snow in the winter.  You'd have to drive over the Cascades via Highway 2 to get to Seattle or a long haul east to Spokane.  Vancouver, wet and cloudy in the winter   - but at least you would be near civilization in Portland, Oregon.  Good luck!!

If it were colder here right now we'd have eight feet of snow the way it's been raining lately. I live real close to Camas but I'm on the other side of the river in Fairview, Oregon. I can smell the paper mill when the wind blows south. :P

After viewing the weather this morning in Wenatchee, the wife and I decided to bag that area. We're lacking snow here, seams it made its way down there, but its cold here, -20 type temps or so. And this is only Nov. Jan' Feb' are the coldest months here. Yeah, lame.
