I went to my cousins funeral last week, he had been sick for some time.  My aunt was discussing with my other cousins, that she was going to have to buy a riding lawn mower.  She has been paying $35 a week to mow her yard and the adjasent lot.  Her kids were saying she really shouldn't be out mowing that yard.  At $140 per month she said the riding mower would pay for it self in two years and she has an empty spot in her two car garage to park the mower :yesnod:  Her kids live about an hour from her in MO. she lives in Madison about 5 minutes from me.  I have my 68 in my garage at home, i could squeeze another car in if I had to but my wife would complain.  I have my 73 rallye in my one car garage at the mopad and really needed some place to store the convertible when it returns from the shop or sell a car :rotz:  I struck a deal to mow her lawn with her push mower and her gas in return for her space in the garage.  I went over and mowed the lawn yeserday.  It really needed it!  Took me about an hour because the grass was so high and I had to pick up a large trash bag of bottles cans and trash thrown in the lot.  It will take about 45 minutes a week.  I feel like I am doing a good deed and I get to keep all my toys void of listening to my wifes complaints.

Yep you done the right thing. Her kids obviously don't think much, or they would've ponied the $$ up to have someone(you?) mow it for her. Doesn't matter now, you made the deal and it was a dang good one. ;D :yesnod:

:2thumbs: Sounds like a great idea. You get exercise, get away from the house, and get to help someone else all at the same time. Just make sure her kids know the car belongs to you in case anything happens to her. You never know what people are capable of (good and bad).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I am sure her kids were going to offer to pony up the cash to have her lawn mowed, if they had not already offered.  I told them they should build a three car garage-shop on the empty lot, you know to cover some of that grass and let me keep some cars there.  they laughed and I added heck I will mow the grass if I could keep a car in her garage.  It will be a few months before I need it, but eventualy I will.  In the mean time I feel liuke I am doing the right thing for my aunt.

All the kids were there and know the deal.  I will probably keep the 73 there.  They are all insured, but if something happened to the 73 I would be less likely to kill one of them than I would over my 68 or the challenger vert.

Sounds like a good deal for everyone, I would have done the same too. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

My aunt called last night, said she cleaned out the garage and wanted to know if I wanted the key to the house or a door opener.  I told her it will be a while before I need the spot, so she starts crying.  It must be tough, parents are not supposed to bury there kids.

Hi Allen Sounds like a great deal for you both. Sorry to hear about your couisin. Sounds like she was hoping you would bring a car over soon she probably needs to feel needed right now. Do you have one you could store over there for a while that would be easy to move just a thought.

Hope everything works out for you both.
