Found a 68 charger R/T with 48,000 original miles in my local paper and went and looked at it...then my dad bought it before I could but he said we could go 1/2 and 1/2. The guy bought it at a estate sale from the guys daughter. She said he babyed it and hadnt driven it in years before he died. This guy bought it and rebuilt the motor but has all original parts. He also had it repainted to match the original color and said the car had no rust. The body is straight and I couldnt find any sign of bondo at all. When he back the car out he spun the tires about 100 feet down the road and came back. Said he needed that last memory. He took 20,000 for the car. It needs some small things but nothing madjor. All the numbers are matching! How did "we" do? can some one get me production numbers on this car color and being a R/T?

How did you do?  I'd say you did the way you must feel and I'm betting you feel great right now.
Car looks beautiful.

You did GREAT !!!!  Man, I love looking at cars that are all there. The engine compartment looks perfect in respect to being all there......

I'd say for 20K you did extremely well. :yesnod: Nice car!

I think we are going to restore it and just try to make it a nice car not a perfect 10. Try to leave it in its curent condition just good running and cleaned up. Where can I get production numbers on this car?

Very nice! A/C and everything. I don't think you're going to find specific production numbers for a green/white/white 68 R/T with column shift and air. They just aren't broken down that well. It's still a cool car.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Looks great and you did well !! As for restoring it, you might want to think of it as a "survivor". It may not be a "rare" car but it's rare to see them in that good of shape.
Nothing personal, just business

What color green is it?   Very nice score for the $$$

Sounds like he was just trying to lowball the seller, I'm glad he didn't get it. :yesnod:

What's up with that garage? Why is it so tall?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
