I began to sort out the mail crate full of bolts and misc. parts and I can't figure out what some of these brackets could be for.  Any input is appreciated  :yesnod:

In the top picture, the levers are an assortment of transmission levers.  The botom right hand bracket is for the intake and the throttle cable runs through and is anchored by it.
The bottom pic are mainly heater hose brackets and one plug wire bracket and another I don't recognize.

top ones are automatic kickdown and gear selector levers....    bottom pic seems to be misc heater hose and wire supports ?

Thanks guys.  I ordered a factory service manual last week.  Will it show views of all these transmission levers assembled?  The car is a 440/automatic and I do want to make sure all of the correct kickdown parts are on and working properly.

Nope.  The fsm is more of a generic drawing.  It'll show you which lever is for gear selection (the ones with the larger holes) and which is for the kickdown (the ones with the smaller "D" shaped hole) but it won't show individual applications.  Your best bet is to contact John Kunkel, he's pretty much the king when it comes to identifying those things.

The bottom middle one on the second picture looks to be the bracket that hold the engine harness running along the firewall. The hole fits over the bottom voltage regular attach point...  You selling it? I would be interested in it for my '68 if it's what I think it is........

In the top picture, the levers are an assortment of transmission levers.  The botom right hand bracket is for the intake and the throttle cable runs through and is anchored by it.

Specifically, the throttle cable bracket is for use with cruise control; one end secures the normal throttle cable and the other end provides an attach point for the cruise control cable.

The actual transmission lever applications are too varied to pin down accurately, the top right shift lever is missing a rubber grommet and the bottom shift lever appears to be aftermarket.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I have a picture on the shop computer of how the three levers install on a 1970 Charger.....       if you can wait a day or two till a remember to get it.

Thanks for the replies guys.  I'm not in a need for anything with these brackets yet.  I just started sorting out parts and sanblasting them.  I had nothing else to do here since the Charger is at the school so I figured I would gather up all the random parts, sort em out, clean 'em, and paint them to get ready for reassembly.  I got the FSM in today and it shows a ton of what I need to know too.

Tom,

For stuff except the automatic trans items, you are more than welcome to come up and photo my charger to compare to your car if you want.  It is temporarily immobilized due to no brakes since the prop valve is missing.  Still waiting to hear back from Inlinetube.com.   >:(
