I'm getting together with a girl I know and she never watches horror movies. Well now she wants to watch a horror movie cause she said it would give her a reason to cuddle me. I'm wondering what you think the all time scariest movie is. Personally the old time horror movies don't do it for me. I think the most recent that gave me a jump or two was The Grudge. As for a slasher I'd say Ghost Ship is on my all time high list... that dance scene with the captian, the little girl, and the cable, priceless lol.

IMO The Grudge and Cabin Fever are the WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! movies ever, go for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre "new one", or maybe 13 Ghosts. again that is just me. Go for the chainsaw!

Drache

I'm looking for more jump off the couch and hide under the covers scarey instead of gruesome. This woman can stomach some nasty sights so I know seeing someone stuck on a hook with his toe tapping the piano keys won't get her.

Someone did tell me that Wolf Creek was good, especially since it was based on a true story.

nh_mopar_fan

Nothing scares me any more. Been married for too long.

But, how about The Evil Dead.

dkn1997

original Halloween movie was the scariest for me, not the most graphic, but scares the crap out of me, especially the music.
RECHRGED

TK73

Event Horizon freaked me out the most, in the theater and the first time I saw it on tape...
1973 Charger : 440cid - 727 - 8.75/3.55

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

Drache

Ah now Event Horizon, that was a psychological thriller I thought... and a good one!

Evil Dead was a great one, one of my all time favorites. Silent Hill is also a great horror movie for a new school horror. I would also recomend The Devils Rejects. :Twocents:

Current MoPars:
1968 Charger. 318 Out of commission:(
1975 Dart Swinger. 225 Pops daily ride.
1990 Dodge Ram. 360FI My daily ride.
2007 Magnum R/T. 5.7 Family wagon.

Ah Silent Hill, that was another one I was thinking of! I remember watching Evil dead long ago... can't figure out why the last one in the trilogy turned into a comedy...  :rotz:

Old Moparz

ALIEN     (Only the first one though.)
               Bob

              Going Nowhere In A Hurry

bull

I'd go with The Exorcist or any good zombie movie such as the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead or Night of the Living Dead (1968).

Other suggestions:
Aliens (as good or better than the first one, Old Mopars :rotz:)
Seven
Jacob's Ladder
Jaws
The Shining
Psycho
Halloween
Carrie
Silence of the Lambs
Scream

Anything directed by M. Night Shyamalan would be a good one to break someone in on, especially The Sixth Sense.

:iagree:  For downright scary that one is hard to beat.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Orange_Crush

The ORIGINAL Nightmare on Elm Street.

The one where Freddy doesn't talk.  The rest of them suck.

I didn't sleep that night.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

poppa

The Rosie O'Donnel show.....I've never seen it but....
God must love stupid people....he made a sh**load of 'em....

Matco tools...guaranteed for a lifetime. Just not a human lifetime.

CaptMarvel

All time? Hands down the original Shining...still sends shivers. My dad once told me the scariest he ever saw was the 1951 The Thing because you never really see the alien until the end, (more of a psychological type thing and I have to agree.) That, among other reasons is why I think those types are way scarier than the slasher type flicks. :yesnod:
