Well, it's been almost one year and I think she is finally over the hump now. Most of the blocking on the roof and quarters are done, with the trunk lid to go next. That should be done next week, then he is going to start on the doors. The plan is the have some color on her towards late winter, with undercoating and stripes by spring. She should be home by spring, and maybe (hopefully) completed by Carlisle. Now I just have to figure out how to get TWO cars out there!!! Anyone know if trailer hitches for 69 Chargers are available (lol)?  I can't wait to see what she looks like in her factory color (GF7).

Hey Brian!! Thanks man, It's been a while! I took the 69 off the road for the winter, so I couldn't make that one. I like going to shows with those guys, the looks we get as Chevy, Ford, and Mopar come rolling through town is just priceless! Both those cars are incredibly nice and RARE. You don't see too many ORGINAL 2 door post 68 Bel Air 427 4 spd cars. That thing looks GREAT in black! The Shelby is a legit one as well, nice looking car. We have our own parade every time we cruse together, it's pretty cool. Hope to get the 71 on the road sometime next year, but I've got another project going as well (65 Plymouth Satellite). I'm bringin' that one up to get caged and tubbed on Sunday. I'm going to race that one for a while, then maybe Pro Street...... :icon_smile_evil:

The engine is waiting, I didn't want to do it too early then have it sitting around. I think I'm going to start in on the interior first, then detail the underside. I like to get the headliner in, then glass and dash board first. I think the motor will be last (or at least after I drop the K frame to do the suspension). My plans for this are to stay as close to "concourse" as possible. I'm sure I'll be waiting for "stuff", so the completion date will slide. I've always got the Hemi car if I have the "need for speed". She is looking REAL good in primer, so I have no doubt she is going to be straight when done. Having the documented pedigree that this one has (Mr Norms car), it would be a crime to do her otherwise.

My 71 will be the same color, I can't wait to see more pictures. I hope to have mine painted in the spring but you are much further along. Mine is not rare like yours but is  a 71 SE with original 383 Magnum and 727. I think it is a great color.
