I was wondering if anyone will be at Hot August Nights this year?

Thanks Joe

Yep, heading up for the day on the 6th. My cousin has a hot rod or two that will be on display.  ;)

I did it last year.  Probably the last time though......

I'm guessing too many people, too many venues (all the Casino's have their own "shows" and you have to travel a lot to see them all, not that anyone really does) and too damn hot.  ;)  Oh, and too many cars that aren't mopars.  :yesnod:

Exactly.  It's a chevy show with a lot of fake Shelbys tossed in.

The heat destroys a carbureted motor, and there's no parking as 12,000 cars and 100,000 people cram into town.  Hotels raise their room prices for the week.

Otherwise it's ok, once.

I love it when I'm the only Charger at a show, or the only Mopar, or even the only American car there.  However, massive crowds and a general s**t how of an experience are a definite turn-off.  Heat sucks, too...

All the reasons stated above and rude local drivers in too much traffic.  Got cut off a few times and people not letting you merge gets old in 100 degree heat.....

Well you just talked ME out of it, lol.

I like my local cruises and $5 trophy shows.  Neighborly, friendly, comfortable...

20 years ago it was excellent. Just got too famous. Course 20 years ago everything was better. Kind of strange, we are marching forward through time and the past seems better?

Well except for Scarlett Johannson.  She's definitely better now but I agree with you about everything else lol..
