Just watched the moving last weekend for the first time! What a boring movie (except the chase of course). Anyway, I didn't realize that R/T's could be ordered with hubcaps! You learn something new...

How do we know it was a 4 speed? Sounds are usually dubbed in, but I don't recall seeing him shift at all. Did he?

Brock Samson

i don't think the movie is boring at all,.. but then again it was made well over thirty years ago....

& some folks dont get Two Lane Blacktop either,.. but then that was made in 1970,..

Folks need to respect the classics... ya' need to understand that...
"you never see upon who shoulders you stand"...

(i belive Joseph Campell said that)

and now with out further ado...

(I do know Shakespear said that)

Just common, established fan knowledge.  I don't recall where I personally read the information on the cars...

still don't get how any car that resembles the charger from bullit is a "replica"  for me, a replica would be of a car like the dirty mary crazy larry charger, a car with aftermarket wheels and other stuff that was not available from the factory.  I think of cars like mad max, the A team van, knight rider t/a.  cheesy cars, yes.. but customized to a degree that you won't see too many around.

I love the bullit charger and any charger that's the same, but it's a black charger, and there were probably thousands identical to it at one time.

I guess when I think replica, I think of cars that are more customized.  same goes for vanishing point.  it was a bone stock white challenger.  Awesome car, but all it would have taken to get one like it back in the day is a pen and a checkbook and a trip to the dodge dealer.

Still a very very very nice charger and I would give my left one for it, though....

I didn't think bone stock Challengers had door mirrors off of Camaros, nor the rallye wheel as a spare...

and I didn't think that some cheesy mirror and an extra STOCK wheel makes a challenger a full blown barris custom.... ;D ;D
