I have a stock engine wiring harness in my 73 and have a question regarding coil wiringl.  There are two wires that run to my coil  - black with white stripe and brown.  Can anyone confirm that the brown wire is the power wire?  thanks..

You are right
Brown is power wire coming from ballast/ignition switch. Connected on + lead of coil
Black traced white is wire coming from Ignition Module and is the wire that close coil circtuit to make the spark once dist pick up senses the reluctor and send signal to module. Conected to - lead of coil
