An article in yesterdays Chicago Sun-Times auto section titled "21 cars to drive in your lifetime. From Alpha Romeo to Porsche, here are 21 classics everyone should be lucky enough to enjoy at least once." The article mentions, Aston Martin, Ferrari,Jag, Duesenburg etc. Car number 13 is the "Dodge Charger R/T (1968-70) One of the top 1960s muscle cars, it was a two door hard top styling sensation that could be equipped with a 425 horsepower Hemi V-8. It was called the "General Lee" when it starred in the popular "The Dukes of Hazzard" television show of the 1980s." I think it's pretty cool that our cars are in the same category as some really high end classics. I have a new found respect for our local auto reporter.

that is pretty cool , but then again how is the avr. person suppose to be able to get a chance to drive a few of those cars besides a Charger?

I don't have a link, I copied the article directly from the paper. If it helps, the article was written by the auto reporter, his name is Dan Jedlicka.

They'd better add a 1968-9 SS396 Chevelle also.
Driven won myself, wasn't impressed. I owned a '69 chevelle for 3 weeks w/a 396. Good boat anchor motors. I sold it to buy another Mopar.

What about a 1976 Chrysler Cordoba. With the "Corinthian Leather".  :icon_smile_big: Isn't that a 'must drive'?  :P

Note, I love the looks of those Cordobas and the rebadged Chargers. I'd love to have a '75-76 Charger. It wasn't much on preformance, but then what was at that point?
