does this light stay on all the tme or go out. what controlls it

It is a temporary light.  Opening the door and closing it will activate and de-activate the switch after a given amount of time-mine always seems to stay on forever...

There is a time delay relay and I believe if memory serves its above the glove box attached to the metal frame of the dash...its rectangular in shape...

time delay flasher on 70s and laters... don't know on earliers:

Anyone know where I can get a time delay relay for my '68?   The one in my car is missing.

most mope's up to around 1990's had them- look around the fuse box- hundreds found at your local scrap yard.
