Can I find out where my Charger was originally sold?

I have the original fender tag, of course VIN # and have traced my 1973 Charger back to Virginia as far as 1985 but they said they don't keep records any further than 1995 anymore. So I've done all I could. The broadcast sheet wasn't in the car. Is there any way I could find out what dealer originally sold my Charger? Once it's all done I want to get an accurate window sticker made.

I think the vin number can tell you what plant it was manufactured in, but as far as what dealership first sold it that's gonna be hard to find out.

If you happen to find the dealer number on some paperwork. This link has dealer numbers and names for the dealers. Then there is a trip to the newspaper acrhives looking up for the actual ad
