At work, they were throwing out a Greenlee 846 pipe heater/bender.  Used for putting bends up to 90 deg into PVC pipe up to 2" in diameter.  it's basically an insulated box with a heating element in it lined with reflective sheetmetal.  It had gone on fire and they crew who used it said it was not heating too well before that.

I grabbed it, took it apart, found the on/off switch was shot, so i bypassed it, and spliced the wires with fresh connectors. then gave it a good douching.  The inner surfaces had dirt on them because everyone abused this thing.

anywho, after cleaning and tidying up the wires, it heats fine and bends pipe easy.  best part is that even on ebag, these go for minimum 300 bucks.  and that's for a knockoff brand.  the real ones go for 4-500.  I just have to find a switch for it and I am all set...
