:haha: :haha: :haha:  Nacho,, what would make you think of that??

Is an old tipical proverb or jest down here about the big cars. You need some BIG to be happy against the rest when you don't have enough "somewhere" :D ( this is not the proverb, just mentioned why it is being said here )

I'm owner of a Charger, but not the builder :P
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Think of it like this, older American cars are normal size. It's the imports that are smaller and cheaper to build.

Yes and no.

If we were to build 1 million 68' Chargers as they were built then today it would be far cheaper. Todays technology is far superior to 4 decades ago and there are far less parts and pieces in the old cars.

On the other hand, would you want your ordered 68' Charger to be exactly the same? No rack and pinion steering. No or very few disc brakes. AM radios....

Just think where we would be if we had no problems with pollution, insurance and fuel economy.. Detroit would be putting out 1000 HP monsters. N02 would be coming installed from the factory. 4 inch duel exhaust.. Everything would have a sure grip. 4.30 gears with 6 speed automatics and 8 speed sticks. Highway speeds like the autoban....  Damn, I'm getting a woody...

Of course finding a garage over here in England big enough for a Charger is difficult as well

Being from England i've always wondered, why is it that American cars were made so big in the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's? Is there a reason for it? I know the roads are bigger in the USA so is that the reason?

maybe small dicks ? :P

From what I've read on the internet it appears that men who are "small in the pants" drive vette's or white 4 door Chargers.
