Is there an O ring ( big one by the way ) that it should be placed on the distribuitor neck ? I mean on area what is inserted on block hole ( BB )...

I can see a groove on distribuitor housing, but never have seen an O ring before, and there is no a diagram clear enough that shows that.

Nacho, Yes there is an O-ring on the distributor housing and it is still avaailable from any Chrysler dealer

In fact....you can get that "O" ring at most auto parts outlets.   Pretty common part,  or....just look through the auto parts neoprene "O" ring assortments  and you'll find one that fits.    That's what I did  without having to buy the entire top end gasket kit.   About a dollar or two.

neoprene O ring ?

I found a rubber one that fits on groove, similar to the one used on speedo gear housing. But I will run to a Mopar dealer to compare. I have th PN what I think it is: 1326836. Is the same to laters Mopars ? ( 90s and laters )

Neither diagram or Tex section with parts Numbers of My 74 parts catalog is clear enoug about some "seal" or "O ring"

Or...you can compare it with the one that is included in the top end gasket kit....

JUST IF is available down here. Chrysler came back to Venezuela on 92 since they left on 79-80, so if laters Mopars, specially Jeeps use the same seal package, I will be able to compare

Nacho, I just checked the catalog and you need part # 2875923. It IS STILL AVAILABLE at you local Chrysler Dodge or Jeep dealer. The o-ring has a suggested retail price of 2.25 (in the U.S.)

I guess we take things for granted in the U.S. I can't imagine not being able to walk into NAPA with that distributer and getting the parts guy to dig up an O ring that fits for under $2.00.

Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

TylerCharger69

I know.....a very common part with numerous applications!!

Nacho-RT74

DAMN NOW YOU POSTED THE PN FOUND IT ON NUMERICAL INDEX SECTION AND THEN ON TEXT SECTION. Problem is that is not ilustrated on diagram. I thought was imposible not to find it, but that was the only PN I could find at my 74 catalog.

I already found a regular O ring that fits perfect and make by myself the Gasket, But I want to buy the right part to keep it storaged at least, just in case.

Thanks for the PN... I'll buy hehehe
