Best run was a 13.35. I was hoping for better, but thats a good starting point I guess, uncap the exhaust, clean up the airflow to the scoop and a little bit of timing adj, maybe I'll get it into the twelves?

Yep room for improvement, but your times look pretty consistent.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Thanks charger fan,
I definitely have some learning to do. this isn't as easy as I thought it would be, the helmet makes it difficult to hear the motor, so don't know when to shift. probably bonning up my shift times??? Gonna take some getting used to I suppose.

Sure is a LOT! of fun at the track, lots of good folks out there.

Though my shifts were getting better, my times were getting worse as the day progressed.  my four friends racing had progressively better times. I'm thinking air temp was a factor since it was abnormally cold in the morning and my car was running better than it ever has.

Any suggestions how to make my car prefer warmer, dryer air? jetting, timing?

Thanks all.

Nate (SeattleChargerDog) and his better half  made it to the track on sunday.. some of the good people I was talking about! they took some pictures, and were kind enough to forward them to me preshrunk and ready to go.

I don't know who was in the cuda, but am glad he got the pics of it. Nate, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he won the king of the hill race. bad :moon: cuda

The 63 Tempest belongs to a mutual friend of ours. It was his cars first day at the track. I think his best run was 10.75 no NOS!

Thanks Nate!

I am glad Aaron told me about the race, was my first time at races also.    They were awesome.    Also walking through pits and checking out all the cars and engines was cool.      First pic is of MorePwr's car, then a few pics of some other Mopars.   The black Cuda popped a long wheely.

Glad Aaron was there to represent Chargers, he was the only Charger there.   The announcer said something like "In the far lane we have a Charger, check out the new wheels."    Don't know if he meant Aaron's first time there or his shiny rims.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

I see you took the ferry across the water, how far did you have to drive your charger to the race anyways? I used to live down there myself, and will again in the next few years. Thanks for the photos Nate.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

About ten miles driving, a couple to Fauntleroy and then about eight or so to the track from southworth.

Where you living now?

Glad you had fun....the track is allways a blast. The ET's will pick up with tuning, tuning and more tuning.  :icon_smile_big: Looking at your hood, it appears that your scoop is probably impeding airflow. Nice looking car BTW  :icon_smile_cool:

Hey Aaron, I was just noticing your reaction times.   I liked to see the reaction times posted with the time and speed on the big reader board at end the end of the track with each run, and yours are really consistently really low, your last one is almost perfect,   .356  ,   .310  ,  and  .035      a thirtieth of a second? or a third of a tenth of a second man?  (something like that  :icon_smile_big:), on your first day racing?

Thanks Ron,
The scoop is going to get replaced as soon as I start the bodywork this winter, but I will cut the rest of it off for the last race of the season, this weekend....Actualy I've got a big ole list of stuff to do  before Saturday I'd better get to it  ;D

Thanks Nate,
No perfect lights by any means, but like you said, first race...Not entirely true though,I did take the gmc to test and tune in March to get a feel for the track, Pacific Raceway. I ran a 16.821@ 83.81 with a .313 rt..Didn't prepare the nerves much for the Charger, racing the daily driver just kinda felt like I was getting on the freeway.

The Halloween Monster Bash is this weekend at Pacific. Come on out!

You did better on your 60's than I did my first time out last weekend. Unfortunately the season is now over down here. Can't wait until next year.

I might have figured wrong on the R/T,  was seeing before that a .1 or .2 was a 1 or 2, I am confused, oh well,  so your last one is good though, right?  Was my first time there, what can I say.   So you guys are going Sunday to S.I.R.?   or it was Seattle International Raceway, or it moved,

I think the .003 would be considered "good" and the .3s could be called sleeping? I'm learning too man!

Yup, Sunday is the plan. Pacific is the same place as S.I.R  just a new name. in  kent. keep an eye on the weather, I'm not going if it looks like there might be rain. call me before you leave if you want.
