I kinda figured this was about the active following over at the "old site".  I understand there were over 10,000 members, but not 10,000 active participants ya know.

It will be a matter of time before this site gets that way, but I guess it is just nice to see a real number of forum "friends" members here.

It's impressive that after only a few days this site is running like it's been here for years.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I haven't been on this site for a while, problems with my mercedes kinda got me away from the charger, and with that i slowly started to get more active on the Mercedes form and less active here. but at the same time i never left the site for more then a week. always "checking up on you guys" to be honest i love this site, and it is my home on the internet. and even though I haven't touched my charger in a few months, i'm here talking because you guys are my frineds.

I think it's cool that we're averaging 90 new members per month and 74 users online per day. There are some months where we've had over 100 online at the same time. If you remember, the old site would choke and die over 60 users so I'm happy about the way things are going.

As for this:

One of the problems of the old site was that new members were emailed a password before they could log in. Due to the fact that some people can't read, can't spell, or don't understand what "your password will be emailed to you" means, we ended up with a lot of bogus accounts. These were easy to spot as they were "registered" but had never logged in. Many had emails like "homail" instead of "hotmail" or they'd type "www.msn.com". Obviously they never got a password. The number of users is comparatively lower on this site but the number of invalid users is a lot lower as well.

I hadn't thought of that angle, but I sure got a good laugh out of the thought of it! :smilielol:
