where can i get paint to do my upper door panels

hey guys
i called totally auto and they said they only have the dye . it doesn't come in spray cans . somebody painted them before . i'm kinda confused on how to do this . HELP. Rene

hey guys , i just got in touch with mopaints . they got what i need . and explained to me  how to do it. so the paint is on it's way and i have an idea how to do it. any tips would be appreciated. thanks  Rene

I am sure the guy from mopaints gave you the right advice, but I had a problem dying a dash cover, they come in black and I needed blue.  I dyed it and it is a rattle can paint, but dark like oil areas kept coming through.  I called Mopaints and they had me get some solvent and wipe the entire thing down.  I followed there instructions and the piece came out great.  Good luck!

I just did my rear pads and upper dash pad, and like 41husk said, if you do what Rob at Mopaints tells you, you should be ok.  I used a 50/50 mix of hot water and simple green and a soft toothbrush and scrubbed the sh!t out of them.  A few times.  After you wash & scrub, be sure to rinse it well with water and wipe it down with some paper towels.  If not, the simple green can leave a residue and give you some fish eyes and adhesion problems.  Also, make sure you spray in thin light coats, so you don't develop any runs or fill the grain.  I sprayed right on the vinyl without any adhesion promoter, and it seemed to cover & adhere pretty well.  (went from black to blue)  I just did this a few weeks ago, so I obviously can't make any claims about the durability of it, but so far so good...
