Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Great Idea!
If anyone would be interested in looking for me in the area, I'd really appreciate it.  He says new quarters and that's what i'm concerned about.  $25+ is an awful lot for this Navy boy to spend and I just don't want to get ripped off.

Any help or advice is appreciated always!!
Thanks

Look at the rear wheels, that offset is way wrong for this car. Also the passenger side quarter just doesn't look right in the group shot of all the generals. Did I miss it or did he not say if it was a 383 or 440 in the car,I think it is a 383 car and the omission of the 5th digit for original motor is ..iffy. Like if it was a 318 car or F for the 5th digit then the 4spd conversion could be a hack job. I would pass for the $$ he is wanting.

HE HAS 2 NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS FOR ITEMS NOT AS DESCRIBED! HOWEVER HE HAS ALWAYS SOLD CHARGERS, AND I WAS LOOKING TO BY A 70 AT ONE TIME FROM HIM. HE NOW IS BUILDING GENERALS, AND I SAW ONE OF HIS PUSHBARS AND IT WAS TOTALLY BUILT WRONG!!! THE CARS LOOK GOOD, BUT LIKE THE ITHER GUYS HAVE STATED. HAVE SOMEONE GO LOOK AT IT FOR YOU! I AM NOT FAR FROM TN ABOUT 30 MINUTES, BUT JUST DEPENDS WHERE HE IS AT!!!! HERE IS  ATHREAD FROM CGLFC ABOUT THE SAME AUCTION.

I also noticed he only said big block. Another thing that concerns me is look at at the parts and work he has done on the car. Unless he's doing all the work himself and pays himself $15/hr. I don't see how he's going to make any money on the car.
It is a nice looking car but I wouldn't buy any car over the internet these days with out checking it out in person, especially when your talking 20k+.

I have heard good things about him. In fact a friend of mine in town bought a General from him and he is happy with it. He was a member at the old site, not sure if hes made it here yet. His nick is 69-gen-lee. His name is Shawn. I have his email on my other comp, if you need to get a hold of him, let me know and I will get you his addy.

Heres the one he bought along side mine.

And we wonder why we can't find any decent cars around. :flame:             Goobers like this spraybombing every Charger they find Orange and slapping some stickers on it. What a waste of a beautiful car. :rotz:

10 years ago before they were over rated I was looking for a 69 to make a GL when I found my 71.  I am so glad now that I ended up with the 71.  Nothing against you guys with GL's its just that they are becming so common...

CB

the car looks so...orange :)

He mailed me pics once of a GL. Looked very sharp. Don't know his business, though.

I believe his name is Danny Johnson. He's a pretty decent guy. He seems to do pretty good work from what I have seen. He bought the 69 I sold back in January. I saw a lot of pictures of the car after he had finished it and it looked pretty good. He didn't seem to cut any corners. He seems like a good guy. He sends me pictures occasionally of cars he's done. I personally would not have a problem buying from him.

mikepmcs

dajohnson is his email so i'm guessing you are correct on the name.
I appreciate everyone's feedback on this one.
have a great weekend.

Mike-

His name is Danny Johnson; dajohnson@vallnet.com and he is who I bought my Charger from three years ago.

I admit, he loves to repaint almost every Charger he gets his hands on, Hemi Orange, but in my opinion, you won't find a nicer and honest gentleman to deal with- hands down.

He's sold God only knows how many Chargers to folks all over the world- seriously.   And he does most, if not all, of the work himself in his new shop (that I helped paid for!) at his farm in the Tennessee hill country outside of Fayettville.

Trust me, you really should invest some time and effort in talking or dealing with Danny.   You won't be dissapointed!

I give him high praise  :2thumbs:, in fact, if I had to buy another Charger- I'd call him first.

I just bought a 68 from him that he had listed on eBay a few weeks ago. The car was not bad for $20k and I can't complain. I met him in person and was a super nice guy. I have to admit that his paint and bodywork is not the best but for $20k, I can't ask for much.
This is the one I got:

What is not the best?  for that much money, you have every right to ask for excellent body work.
