Hey how does that work?  do they vulcanize some red rubber strip around the tire?

If ever those 5 spoke Magnum wheels were designed with a particular car in mind, it is the Charger!

Step 1) Place the car safely on jack stands.
Step 2) Carefully position red tire marker against desired spot to mark.
Step 3) Spin tire with one hand, while applying mark stripe with the other.
Step 4) Lift marker when desired darkness has been achieved & move to next tire.
Step 5) Lower car to the ground & proceed to do a break-in burnout.

...or just go buy different tires. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I'm not entirely sure myself - but I think it is a process similar to what CHARGER_FAN described above only using some kind of rubber paint. I've seen the results on some local cars and they look great but have heard it only lasts a couple of years. Over here ( Australia ) it's hard to buy redlines and if you find them they are REALLY pricey!!

ya' gonna changer yur name?..

howabout lookin@a68.. ?

MOPARHOUND!

There is a guy here local who burns in red lines on the tire of your choice.  A guy in our local mopar club had it done to some Michelins on his 68 GTX.  The 60's look with modern tire performance.

Most of the guy's business is from the street rod/ rat rod crowd.

Thanks for the info Chris, but it's the logistics and cost of getting them from the US to Australia that's the problem! If I was doing a concours resto on an RT I'd buy some of those for sure!
