71 Bee Man

G'day guys,

I remember a while back on Ebay there was someone selling Superbee stripe decals for the 1/24 plastic kit of the 1971 R/T Charger - effectively making a 71 Superbee.

Does anyone here know who it was that was selling them ?  ???

Thanks,

Peter

Fred Cady Design makes custom decals for plastic models but I don't know if he has a website or not.

His ebay ID is kmarks999 on ebay. I have used his decals quite successfully.. Here is a link to his auctions. I dont see the superbee decals listed but if you email him he will make some for you. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkmarks999QQhtZ-1

He must have Bee decals. I found these pics on his photo pages. There's a few really cool Mopars in there.

Also here is a link to the super bee insert for the 71 hood. http://www.afxnscaleresin.150m.com/hood_scoops.htm

Thanks very much guys,

whilst he may be quitting, I just shot him off an email through Ebay anyway.

With regards to the hood insert for the Bee.....how is it put on ? The R/T hood already has the louvered scoop in it. Do you have to cut the existing one out ? ???

Yes, you will have to cut the lovers out. You can buy heated knifes made for that if you want. Otherwise, just have to be very carfull using a model knife. Just don't cut yourself.

Yes you have to cut out the R/T insert and trim around the edges of the Super Bee insert to make it fit right. It will take some patience and maybe buy a couple of extra 71 charger kits incase you mess up. Also the "yellow" charger R/T kit comes with turn down exhaust tips and a 440, while the ''red" charger/Super Bee street machine kit comes with slotted tips and the Hemi.
