I sent you info on this car already....

This is the remains of the FY1 1970 Top Banana Charger 500SE....Yep, I decoded it...I have the fender tag here in my hand...

warriorbass05

Neither the frame nor the floors are rusted...I stood on top of this car and the floors are solid. It has been sitting at the bottom of a huge hill since 1970-1....THe remains of the odometer show 12,605 miles....

Intentionally abandoned or was it wrecked? Looks like it would have been a rough landing if someone was in there.  :o

The story I was told today was that the kid who owned it INTENTIONALLY ran it down the hill because either he was being chased by 'revenuers' or repomen....what a way to lose a charger....the fender tag has SOOOOOO many options on it... :flame:

Looks like the drivetrain is still there. What are the options?

Other than the one corner, the tail panel still looks pretty decent too. Does it have a console in it?

Poor Charger.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Shakey

Looks like Dodge Don's old car!

Hi Jay, I'm glad you posted here. I emailed you, but it got bounced back to me.  :-\

What a nightmare.  :o

Car was a 500 SE, 383 auto, Top Banana, Console and A/C. Real shame, but they can't all make it I guess.  :'(

When I looked at the picture I thought it was a ad for HLPAG. you know, the father/son project, but it was too nice  :P.I do hate to see stuff like that.Poor charger.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Does it still have the A/C stuff in there?  :scratchchin:  dibs if ya wanna sell ;)
Chris' '69 Charger R/T

warriorbass05

There is truly not much of it there. All of the options are gone....I still am debating about taking out of there and doing something with it. It does not appear that the roof has caved in...I could buy the panels from goodmark and I would be short a number of things but I am sure I could acquire them to start a MAJOR resto...On the other hand, if the trade deal I have in mind comes together, it will go in one piece. The taillight panel is all there, those odd little corner pieces are there around that panel, the floors are ROCK solid...I am not sure.... There is NOTHING under the hood, come to think of it, there is no hood either.....

694spdRT

The floorpan looked like the oil pan but now I see nothing is there. Someone must have flipped the car over after the wreck if the engine isn't there now. :scratchchin:

Call your local Sky Hook (helicopter hoist) and see how much they want to pluck her out of the revine. I dont know how else would you do it - the hill is probably a forrest of trees that will be hard to hoist her up the side of the hill. Maybe a tow truck with a cable extension from top of the hill and cut some trees out of the path? How would you get her out? :shruggy:

Yeah, were you able to drag that poor thing outta there?

Bandit72

just curious...but how the heck did you find it?
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

The guy who owns the land also has a running 70 charger and he said that I could have it if I helped him put decals on his once he gets it painted orange,he showed me where it was...

Ghoste

A running 70 for free just for helping with the decals?  I'd be all over that even if it's wreck.
