Trunk slides,Painted or not?

I'm looking at the plastic slides for the trunk lid hinges and they are painted body color from when I painted.  I've read these where installed prior to painting the car at the factory and should be body color but I've had a couple people comment on that it  looks sloppy and I should spend the 13.00 for the slides to " correct" the trunk.
So where these painted or not?

Thats the funny thing.  I took the car up to this local shop that deals in high end muscle cars.  Supposedly specializing in Mopars.  They always have a dozen or so nice mopars out front and i went in there to see what they thought of the car and if my figure with what to ask for it was close to theirs.  I think they do more brokering  than restoring. lots of nice cars but an abscence of actual work going on. I began to wonder about their 'head Mopar guy' when he asked if it was the original color.  68 charger plum crazy paint.  I told him he was a couple years off.
