....and I love it!   :boogie:

With an 8.48 gallon fillup I'm averaging 5.42 MPG!

That was all street driving, never kept it out of the secondary's, blasting around town mpg.

Going to the track again tonight to hopefully make that MPG even lower  :icon_smile_evil:

Drive it like you stole it!

8.5 mpg here.  And i cant keep my foot out of it from 55 to 95 on the free way.  i love those little blasts to "get out of harms way"

Cool pics, is that the car with 2 gas caps?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I went less than 100 miles on my last tank full so I am right there with ya.  :2thumbs:

I wonder what the blower car is getting.  :scratchchin:

Cool  :icon_smile_cool: Have some fun and go for the big 12 sec time slip.

- air up the front tires to 40 psi
- drop the rear pressure to 18-20 psi
- disconnect the swaybar end links

Let her RIP !  :icon_smile_big:

For me to shave almost 2 seconds off my best of 13.9 I think its gonna take a lot more than a tire psi change..... ;)

who's car is that?..
and more pics please...

Chris G.

Maybe I'll take the old Twizzle down and turn out a 20sec time? I'm looking for 19's, so maybe I'll do the tire pressure trick.  :P

I drove my car at very light throttle from my house to Norwalk Raceway for the Chrysler Classic. I remeber putting around 70 miles on the odometer and topping it back off for the ride home. It took 8.6 gallons in just 70 miles at just a 3000 rpm cruise. Right on track with the rest of you darn motor heads. Thats 8.13 miles per gallon of 94 octane.....MMMMMM.....Octane....

Yes you can drive around with a blower legally. Oh, I expect mine to do a 12.70 the next time I get to the track.

Yep your right.....

Traction gods were not on my side tonight......ran a 15.0 @ 97 :(

Spun the wheels damn near halfway down the track...I'll get it right one day.  We need to go in a Weds night for test & tune to get more than one run in though.....

Nice try anyway Chris.  The changes i suggested were to increase traction and help with weight transfer. If you're burning the tires halfway down the track that means it's making some descent power.  :icon_smile_big: Probably enough for a 12.99 pass with any luck  :yesnod: Get the 60ft time down into the 1.80 range and you're there.

Firefighter is right. My 60ft is 1.84. Get your traction set up and you will hit the 12's.

The 60 ft time is relative to wheel spin correct?

Heres the 60 ft times the 3 times I went out

2.286-----14.301 @ 98.12

2.286-----13.984 @ 100.46

2.349-----15.017 @ 97.85

Weird how I had identical 60' times on both the first 2 runs.

Last night it usually does spin in 1st gear and then when I shift 1-2 it spins a bit & hooks.....this time it kept spinning in 2nd until I let off!  I was like John Force smoking them at half track  (actually had smoke!)

Wheel spin will have a direct effect on 60ft times....you are correct. There are other factors that come into play as well, but in your case....wheel spin is the most significant factor. Usually, 1/4 mile mph is a good indicator of how much power the engine is making : basicly comparing the MPH to the Car's weight.....BUT, this isn't even a valid baromoter of your car's performance because the excessive wheelspin to 1/2 track is scrubbing off so much 1/4 mile MPH. Hope that makes sense Chris....

I'd luv to see that 69 with a set of stickies and a little suspension tuning !

:o I'm getting low 13's on the highway, and that's romping it on occasion.

I went to the track a week and a half ago.  Like you Chris I spun most of the way.  First time out I kicked it sideways about 1/8 mile.
Just couldn't get any traction.  I don't have any feeling at all in my right leg versus my left having some some so it's hard to feather the throttle but I was getting better.  My mph was 109 and RT's were consistent in the .120-.150 range.

FUN! FUN!

18 mpg highway (no that's not a typo).
