Hey all, I need some recommendations and advise from people who have already done any of these things.  I'd like to purchase an aftermarket head to replace my totally shot 906 heads.  I had been considering what was once called the stage V cast iron Mopar heads as a replacement.  Anyone tried these before, or are there any other better choices?  My goal for this engine is a streetable 450-500 hp that will be reliable and well built.  I would like to utilize some of the newer technology in my engine where possible, but still look somewhat stock.  My original goal was mulitport fuel injection, but money may dictate going with carb. for now.  As for the 4-speed rebuild, where have some of you gone for new parts or components to rebuild your A833.  I will probably need to retip or replace my input shaft since the previous owner of this one 4-speed I plan on using cut the shaft so it would fit in a chevy.  Anyone used Passon before.  Let me know.  Thanks for all your help.

I deal with Passon constantly , his service & parts have be flawless , Brewers is also a great company to deal with
The Stage 5 heads is decent , it is reasonably prioced & will improve performance with out the downside of going to alum heads , my 1 big complaint about the Stage 5 is the use of the open chamber , the head would have been far superior with a closed chamber so you could build a  quench engine , the open cjamber heads seem to create detonation much more easily even with mid 9:1 comp ratios

Is there anything built today that is more like the 915 head?  I do have a set of 915 heads.  Are the Aluminum heads open chamber as well?  Just curious.

most alum heads are closed chamber , the B1 BS , Indys & the Eddys have the closed chamber design But the Eddy RPM is a bigger combustion chamber nearly the volume of the open chamber 906 so it doesn`t compensate for its own heat loss , it needs to be around 80cc to offset the heat loss , not at 84 cc . each alum head brings it`s own issues into play with it as well , do you rreasearch carefullly
