I know most modern cars use ATF even in manual tranny's, what about my 4spd in the Charger?

Lots of folks run ATF in the 833, the factory reciommended in most years.

ATF will give you the best all around shifting, especially when cold, but many of us question its lubricating properties. I prefer synthetics like Redline 75W-90NS.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

80-90 gear oil was also recommended , i have only used 50/50 mix of ATF in my daily driver where I often see -30 or more

Even in my daily driver I add Lucas trans lube to the mix for extra protection. Trans fluid to 80w-90 is a big difference!   :-\

I run 80-90W in mine and have had no problems.
