Villeneuve to stock cars?

MONTREAL—Jacques Villeneuve denies it, but talk persists that the former Formula One champion will soon be driving stock cars for the Roush Racing team.

A report from Italy on Tuesday said Villeneuve, a native of Iberville, Que., will join the Roush team in 2007 and that he would move to Montreal.

When reporters asked Villeneuve about the report in Montreal, he said, ``I'm retired," but said it with a smile.

Villeneuve, who lives in Switzerland, has an apartment in Montreal but is looking for a house, Montreal's La Presse reported.

There's talk of Beckham coming to the US to play soccer too. Both sports are equally exciting to me though. Either they're running around in circles for three hours or driving around in circles for three hours. Booooring.
