Where did you get the 6.1?  From a wrecked vehicle or is it new?   I heard the only way one of the 6.1 could be had is if it was a replacement for an SRT vehicle.  Just curious.   Beautiful car, BTW...

i bought it new.. and your right you cant get them, only if you supply them with a vin and paperwork. the motor is hopefully going in soon i just waiting for the rest of the parts to come in. today the car is getting the baer brake set up installed and hotchkis suspension. i will post pics soon.

JUST UNDER A MONTH I WAS ABLE TO REDO THE ENTIRE SUSPENSION IN THE CAR. I INSTALLED TUBULAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS,  FIRM FEEL STAGE 3 BOX, HOTCHKIS SWAY BAR (FRONT) NEW LOWER CONTROL ARM PINS, AND SHOCKS.I ALSO POWDER COATED THE ENTIR SUSPENSION AND K FRAME. RIGHT NOW I WENT WITH THE KYB'S BUT I HAD BOUGHT THEM ABOUT AA YEAR AGO SO I PUT THEM IN I WILL BE CHANGING THEM AS SOON AS I CAN(FRONT AND REAR) AS FOR THE BRAKES THE CAR NOW HAS 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES FROM BEAR. AND BY FAR THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CHANGE THAT I DID WAS THE INSTALL OF THE HYDROBOOST.  GOING FROM THE ORIGINAL 4 WHEEL DRUMS TO THE HYDROBOOST AND THE BAER BRAKES THE CAR HAS LEAPED INTO  MODERN TIME. THE CAR STOPS LIKE MY BENZ, ITS TRULY AMAZING. I WILL TRY AND POST REAL GOOD PICS BUT AS FOR NOW I ONLY HAVE THE ONES IN MY GARAGE. AFTER THE SUSPENSION AND BRAKES I WILL FINE TUNE THE REST OF THE CAR INTERIOR AND MISC STUFF. HOPEFULLY OVER THE WINER I WILL SWING THE 6.1 HEMI IN IT. IM STILL WAITING FOR SOME PARTS TO SHOW UP (GAS TANK AND OIL PAN) FINALLY AFTER 2 YEARS I CAN DRIVE THE CAR AND NOT BE AFRAID TO STOP IT, AND TURN IT EITHER. CANT WAIT TO INSTALL THE MODERN POWER TRAIN . WELL HERE ARE SOME PICS

Here are some outside shots of the car. The car still needs some detail work, since my last post i installed power windows and door locks and power trunk release. The interior is close but im missing some premium weatherstripping gaskets that year one shorted me. other than that the interior is close and then im gonna work on the power train.

One thing I noticed this go-round is the rear springs. Are you gonna shoot some black on them?

yup this week up detailing  under the car , allot of body work dust in still all over the suspension next week i will post pics on the under carriage
and all the detals....

45rfe trans. should be real nice. im also going to run 323 gears i think. should be plenty fast and great gas mileage. keep you guys posted
