Mopar watches. Check out my wife's WalMart find!

I know they were probably made by a one-legged kid in Taiwan earning $.09/hr. but this is pretty cool for a WalMart item. A
1968 Charger wrist watch and a Demon pocket watch. She surprised me with the watches, first off, and second I was surprised
she had the presence of mind to notice them and buy them. I guess she's really coming around to the Mopar mindset. Unfortunately
the Charger watch's wrist band is too small for me but that's ok because my wife now wants to wear it! Surprise #3. She's in for sure now.

Wakko

Wow, cool watch.  You could cut the band off and fashion another that fits you I'm sure.  I'll be at my Walmart tomorrow lookin' for those.  :)

The watches were both $9.98 each. "Always Low Prices. Always."

I might have to make a run to Wally World. My little boy would love the watch.

Must go to walmart today!!!! :yesnod:
Thank you Bull!

Just when I am trying to cut down on going to Wal-Mart, they go and do this....bastards. I guess one more trip there won't hurt :icon_smile_big:

She said they had other choices but she got the last Charger watch they had. I don't know how many Mopar choices they had or different years but she said they had Ford and Chevy stuff too. Usually there are half as many Mopar items if there are any.

Ebay has the GL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5016427373&category=31387&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1

My Wal Mart didn't have them. The closest thing they had were some "Dodge" pocket watches with the Ram logo.

That's a bummer. I tried finding them on the WalMart website but they weren't there. I'm sure it's a real hit and miss item.

That's what I was thinking.

I'm still not buying one. I haven't set foot in a Wally World in 2 years, ain't gonna start now.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Bull, since she's coming around now liking the Chargers, start looking for a real 68 Charger just for "her".   ;)

No kidding. We've actually talked about it and she'd not opposed to the notion. It sure is a pain to find them now days but it would be cool if I could find her a fairly nice 318 driver for a reasonable price.

Wakko

Nothing at one of my walmarts...gonna check two others.

Anyone seen these around lately?

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Which is one of the reasons I buy American made products when possible, yes I know it is hard to find much made here.

I think he was going by that 'posting etiquette' thread a few days ago & not starting a new thread for a simple question. :icon_smile_big:

No, I haven't. I don't think I've been to WalMart but maybe once in the past year. I really hate that place, and it's not due to their labor policies or business practices or anything. I just hate going any place I have to work around 600-2000 people to get stuff done.

I hear ya, I needed to go to a WalMart 2wks before Christmas, try and find a wheelchair parking spot at a WalMart.
Took me over a 1/2hr to find a spot, I hate needing the extra room to get out of the car with the wheelchair.
I spent 15min inside and got the heck out of there.

I hear you too. I'm always taking my two little girls places so I know what a hassle it can be just to unload them and walk in a store for a simple gallon of milk. I can't imagine the hassle of messing with a wheel chair. A lot of errans get put off just because I don't want to mess with the girls and try corralling them through the store. No chore seems to get over with quickly with kids in tow.

You'd have to consider yourself real lucky to find another one of those watches by now.
I don't go into wallyworld much anymore myself.  I'm not a big friend of their business practices and all BUT my neighbor is a manager there so I get to hear enough from the other side. They buy quantities of products and then find ways to move them out.  Maybe it helps the buying frenzy they seem to like.  They'll move product from one store to another or dump it at all at one location for some kinda closeout special.   Maybe that's typical retail, maybe not.   Homie don't work retail.
Whatever... you'd be better off looking on ebay than going to wallyworld to find that watch anymore.

Man I  know where your coming from there ;D

Im still guilty of visiting Wall Marts but ive been keeping it down to once in a blue moon and I usually go there at 4 in the morning when i get out of work. Its a rather comical freak show at that time in the morning.

Drache

I found the Demon watch but they wanted $29.95 CDN for it and I didn't feel like spending that much!  :icon_smile_big:
