unfortunetly are mass media contributes to this type behavior.  These nuts see it on TV and say, " hey this other nut sure got some attention, I can do that" We should really limit coverage very little pictures just a brief story, but that won't sell air time.  We all want to get a good look at the plane crash, car wreck, mutilated body and yes even the slane school kid.  It makes me a bit nervouse every time this stuff happens because I teach high school kids with behavior problems and they all have a TV.

I seriously wonder if overpopulation plays a role in the increasing frequency of these incidents. :scratchchin:

Damn dude, that's a long time to hold a grudge. :rotz:

IMO I think it's a simple situation of people unable to deal with their problems in a positive way. They're a bunch of red-faced, angry fools who don't understand the concept of forgiving and moving on and/or dealing with the people who have screwed them over. So they smolder for years until they snap and do crap like this.

Cowards that don't want a challenge! They are easy target, very peaceful people that follow the non violence code to heart -they turn the other cheek.

Better yet, who attacks 6 - 13 year old girls/children!!!!!!!?? :flame:

i don't buy that the asshole "snapped" he obviously nursed this supposed "grudge" for a while and had the malicious plan in the works for nearly a week if not longer,...

so perhaps it was a different kind of greed, called "lust".  :shruggy: maybe a need to dominate.. a quest for power or a death by Cop,..
or all of the above...

i dunno i'm not a criminal physiologist...  :-\

Here's another local case where ya' wonder "What was he thinking?!" maybe he watched too many violent movies about crooks and figured he'd get it right this time..
see, this was the second time some Nimrod tried this crap...

"Police investigators believe Wherry is the latest example of a guard succumbing to greed. In 1997, Armored Transport of California Inc. guard Thomas Wheelock shot and killed his partner in Oakland and fled with $300,000. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in 2001."

Lets pray for the families,...

Interesting:
"The hurt is very great," Huntington said. "But they don't balance the hurt with hate."

In just about any other community, a deadly school shooting would have brought demands from civic leaders for tighter gun laws and better security, and the victims' loved ones would have lashed out at the gunman's family or threatened to sue.

But that's not the Amish way.

In the aftermath of Monday's violence, the Amish have reached out to the family of the gunman, Charles Carl Roberts IV, 32, who committed suicide during the attack in a one-room schoolhouse.

Dwight Lefever, a Roberts family spokesman, said an Amish neighbor comforted the Roberts family hours after the shooting and extended forgiveness to them. Among Roberts' survivors are his wife and three children.

"I hope they stay around here and they'll have a lot of friends and a lot of support," said Daniel Esh, a 57-year-old Amish artist and woodworker whose three grandnephews were inside the school during the attack.

Roberts' relatives may even receive money from a fund established to help victims and their families, said Kevin King, executive director of Mennonite Disaster services, an agency managing the donations.

They are not going to protest. I could not believe they were going to do this. This is the "church" that go's around the country protesting military funerals holding up "God hates Fags" signs. These are some serious freaks.

:2thumbs: Very nice Troy!! The grandfather of one of the girls shot told the reporter after the reporter asked him how he felt. His reply was, "forgive those who traspass against us"! spoken by a true loving and peaceful person and community....................this world needs allot of Amish influence to show everybody what really counts in this world and how we should really treat each other!

We've heard that phrase many times, it's about time we all try to follow it.

I think the reason this happens more often is that the ones who do this crap get their names and ugly faces on every TV screen in the US . If the media wouldn't be in such a mad rush to be the first to tell us all who did it, maybe these pathetic pieces of feces would just jump off bridges or hang themselves and leave everyone else out of it.
