Anyone watch this show?

It has been on TV here in Canada for five years and I just started watching it about a year ago.  These guys are just plain nuts.  I can't believe how funny they are and the situations they get themselves into - hilarious stuff.   :smilielol:

Honestly, at first you start watching and say to yourself - WTF!  Then, like any other sitcom, once you get to know the characters, you'll never stop laughing.  Lowbrow humour at its finest.

Is on televison in the United States?  It would have to be on cable because the language they use, my word!  F this, F that - on and on and on.....

I recommend it.

Looking forward to the movie also.

Love the show,I actually met Bubbles at a bar in Halifax last summer, cool guy and a good  singer/guitar player.
I think we all know people like that in real life, thats what makes it so funny.

Trailer park boys rule!!
I met Bubbles (Mike Smith) up here in Cold Lake last winter, and my wife met Mr.Leahey in a restaraunt in Fredericton last summer. Both willingly posed for pictures.
It's pretty weird meeting Canadian celebrities...I get the impression that they don't really let fame go to their heads.
I met Russell Crowe a few years back....what a jerk!
Met Mr. Norm....pert'near crushed me in a bear hug!
Same with Norm Grabowski.

My wife won't admit to liking it either but she typically will watch it with me.  One of my favorite things on the screen and with this being the last season, it'll be another reason for me to stay away from the television.

doctorpimp

LOL  I have all the shows on DVD and both movies.
There's supposed to be a new movie coming out soon...

That show has been around a while hasn't it? My wife has family in Abbotsford and I've seen a few episodes up there.

Ghoste

This is season 8 wrapping up.  Have any of you guys seen the short b&w film they did that served as the pilot/inspiration for the series?  I've seen but I don't have a copy of it yet, the season 1 thru 7 dvds and the movies but not the short.

69bronzeT5

I love the show. One of my favorites for sure. I've seen almost every episode, the movie, the Christmas special, the TV special finale...everything. The show is no longer being made because the director dosen't want to do it anymore. I hate that....I want them to do more. Robin (magnumcharger) said he drove by the set and everything is apperentley gone. :rotz:

My son bugged my wife and I to watch it for 2 years. Finally did.....hooked!

Gotta go and buy some jallap in o chips!

I saw a few series all were very funny

I think it's great how Ricky always gets his cliches all f**ked up!

"Might as well get two birds stoned at once."

Magnumcharger

Yes, I drove by the set on the weekend and all of the trailers but two were gone. :rotz:
Fortunately, on my last look in September, this is what I saw:
1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S 340 convertible
1968 Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi 4 speed
1968 Plymouth Barracuda S/S clone 426 Hemi auto
1969 Dodge Deora pickup clone 318 auto

2001 Dodge RAM Sport Offroad 360 auto
2010 Dodge Challenger R/T 6 speed
2014 RAM Laramie 5.7 Hemi 8 speed

Magnumcharger

And from what I've heard (as member of the Yahoo! "Trailer Park Boys" Group), the series was cancelled as a result of Showtime channel not extending their contract.
So there is one more movie set to come out this summer, then who knows what?

If you look at the preview for the movie on the link I posted, I think the park gets destroyed!!
Much destruction - but prob part of the plot.

From the "Hearts of Dartmouth" documentary, the cost of creating that park was less than renting time in an operating trailer park.  Season's one and two were in leased park-space.  That's why in the later seasons, trailers etc get all smashed, burnt and there's always garbage strewn around...

Maybe, more episodes will be done on leased space again???

BTW - Nice pic (except for the goof...LOL) I didn't recognize Bubbles without his glasses at first...

OK...because I actually live in TPB town (Halifax - Dartmouth), you never know what or who you'll see here.
Last week, I was in a Sobey's (a food store) just down the street from my apartment.
I saw a familiar face in the bread section....then in the checkout line in front of me. Surprisingly, he wasn't buying hot dogs!
No doubt, it was this guy! I 411'd him...he lives only a few blocks from me!

You might remember him from his role in the "Bare Pimp Project".

Geez...I just keep adding more shit here!!
Went to "Bubbles Mansion" last weekend with my son. Hoped to see at least one of the greasy bastards ( at least a green one...:icon_smile_big:) but no luck.

There were however, several HUNDRED college girls!! (My son is now considering transferring schools!)

Here is Bubbles with and without his specs, as I saw him in Cold Lake when he visited the Base in 2006.
(Points to the first person who can tell me who is on the far left in the first shot).
And a couple of sexy fans at the set.

Yes, most of the cast were locals. Some weren't even actors.
Mr. Leahy was a veteran character actor, and it showed.
