I have been told that I have a 8.5 corporate rear end in my 74 charger.  How common is this rear end? The guy I bought the car from said it had 3.92 gears with the biggest 60's to keep the rpms down a little. I would like to change the gears to 3.55 or so.

That is a new one never heard of that.  Unless it is a 3 generation charger term.  Or well a snow job... :rotz:

'74 was the first year for the option of a 9.25 corporate rear. Same thing you would find under 1/2 ton trucks.
