NorwayCharger

Long story told as short a possible..

I run a body/paint-shop here in Norway we have a lot of security equipment like cameras and alarms.
We had a crackhead coming 4 weekends in a row robbing stuff from cars parked outside the building.
I took the video sequence from the computer and gave it to the police and nothing happen, he came back for more.
Then he stole a car :flame:
I have some friends in low places, some of them recognized the guy on the tape and gave me a name.
I took a couple of friend with me, went home to this guy and i kicked the Bananarama! out of him.
I also got him to tell me where he had all the stuff he had stolen....
OMG, there was a lot of stuff like computers, car stereo, TV, Hi-fi, PlayStation you name it  all of this he had stuffed in his garage

I called the police and ambulance, and went home.

No POS has pressed charges against me  ::)

Just want to blow some steam here, but it feel wrong that i may get punish for doing the police work.
Handing over the criminal with all the things he had stolen from a lot of people...
I know that people should not take the law in they own hands, but.............................................
The worst thing is that i felt really good doing this.
I am not a violent man no criminal records or anything, but what was going to happen next???.
What if the crackhead had broken in to my shop and stole my charger :flame: :flame:
Then i may killed him :icon_smile_angry:

Man, sorry to hear that you had to do that, but happy that you were able to retrieve your stuff.

Hope you can get the matter worked out with the authorities.

And I can understand how fixing the problem yourself felt good, but glad you didn't go too far.  :yesnod:

If more people did what you did there wouldn't be much of a crime problem IMO. I'm sick of criminals getting away with doing whatever they want while the "good guys" sit on their hands.

That really sucks! The problem you got now is that you deliberately went to his home to serve justice and he has a good case against you. If it was the other way around, that he came to you and you roughed him up in your place, you would have been in good standing IMO. Perhaps get a lawyer that can stress the fact that you attempted to take care of the problem the "legal" way, but it did not help the problem and you were concern for your property and your clients property. You can also say that you found out that he still had procession of some of the valuables he took and you went to his home to simply retrieve them, ask him to return them and he attacked you!  :rotz:

yeah, should of been done in the NavySeal fully concealed clandestine approach - go in quiet, do your thing, get out with only one statement to him; "stay away from the yard - no more warnings"

good luck...................good thing the Charger was not touched cause you probably would have ended up in jail!!

You should have tried discussing it with him first & give him the chance to explain why he did what he did. There may have been a good explanation as to why he entered your shop, like maybe he wanted to learn automotive repair techniques.   :shruggy:  If it was determined that he had a different reason, like one that may have involved something that was "allegedly"  illegal, then you have the right to demand a reasonable explanation. He may have not wanted to pass up on a good sale price on crack that week.

Perhaps his dealer was offering a bulk discount, but he was short on cash. Could it be he was he looking for a gift to give? The holidays are coming up & some people really get caught up in the holiday spirit at any expense. Sometimes a girlfriend you want to impress is so demanding, you don't dare forget her when gift giving comes up. Are you sure all the other things he had were stolen? Is there a chance that he was just unorganized & had his garage full? I bet he was just having a rough spell & didn't mean it. If he did, then see if you can get in touch with his parents, I'm sure they'd be more disappointed than you.

If he drove an old Chebby & not a Mopar, then you did the right thing by kicking his ass.  :D

We are all so mean and conservative, not feeling sorry for the poor little crackhead who probably couldnt control himself, he probably just needed a fix, man, wheres our compassion? Is it really our place to judge this lowlifes acts of theft? What we really need is a fair minded type to chime in and tell us how we are all evil John Waynes wanting to take justice out in our own ways. TK? Steve P? where are you when we need your "understanding" spin on these things? :icon_smile_big:

You should have bought him a crapload of drugs and let him OD. Then clean out the stuff in the garage and play 'secret Santa' returning the items back to the righful owners.

Mefirst

We had the same problem with drug addicts hanging around our garage here in Stockholm.. We tried to talk with them and explained that we would only be nice ONE time, the next time we see you hanging around here, you'll feel pain.. Some of them got the message, but there were a couple of boneheads who just didint get the message and they were dealt with, with a hard hand..

We had the cops come to talk with us about "taking the law" into our own hands, but then again one of the cops said to us off the record -You can/may hurt them, but just don't kill them and don't get caught doing anything, we hate those fu%¤%&ers just as much as you do...

But it sucks when you are protecting whats yours, then you have some idiot prosecutor who will do everything to take you to court cause you just happend to take appropriate messures to protect your property from shitheads who were just to dumb that they didint get the "Stay away" message and had to push it...

I could easy paid some guys for doing it.......but then again my intension was not that i would get away with it.
I would scare him and his kind enough so that my property or my customers cars= PAIN....

I would not recomend someone to do what i did, but for ME it feels right.

Any witnesses? If yes, than hire some thugs to kick the crap out of him till he drops the charges. If no, then hire some thugs to kick the crap out of him till he drops the charges. It may cost you a little money doing it this way, but a whole lot better than time in the courts, lawyers and sentences.

Car's got a lot of pickup. It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
