I can't agree with you there, IF you are right, the sight should be 66-74charger.com. That post smacks of "it's cool as long as I'M into it, if I'm not screw it"
The old car hobby is divided enough and organizations like the EPA and Greenpeace would love nothing better than to divide and conquer and get rid of all of our old cars, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS!

Just because a couple don't like the cars, does not mean anybody who owns the car should be run off. IT IS A DODGE CHARGER - get a grip.

Just MY opinion.
Woah, don't get excited.
Not to sound "cool because I was there" but when this site first migrated over from the old d-c.com we had a vote to decide the name of the site.  At first it was www.34534322345.com or something like that.  The coices were classicdodgecharger.com etc, but WE decided on dodgecharger.com even though people searching for sites about the Ram's head Charger would end up here.
http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,3.0.html

We don't discriminate, in fact we have an off topic board, for things like EPA, Greenpeace, New Chargers etc.
This site was/is for the first 3 gens. Let's not cloud up the site with too much non-related posts.
I'm not dividing the hobby, just saying.  Imagine you were at a car show talking to your buddies about Chargers and a kid came over bragging about his Honda etc.  Not that you wouldn't welcome him, but it's just not what you would want to talk about.

So basically you're saying anyone that even thinks about sigining up as a member that doesn't own or have any questions regarding the first three generations of Chargers should simply fuck off? What about the existing members - should the mods block their access?

:rotz:

most people here do own at least one (some own backyard full of Chargers), admirers of 66-74 Charger or former/future owners of 66-74 Charger. 06 Magnum has plenty of websites for it that have plenty of info on them.

Hmm...does that go for Nissan Altima's as well Silver?

Welcome again 2006Daytona

i was wondering if you'd care to compare your new one to your old one?....
Cause when the M came out there wasn't nearly as much gnashing of teeth, dispite having four doors, a 6 as opposed to an 8 and front wheel drive...

  mine..

If you mean the 2000m to the 06 Charger, the Charger beats it hands down! At about the same price this is how I see the major differences:

1. the 300m handles poorly. I didn't realize how poorly until I got the Charger. It has so much body roll that it feels like it is going to tip over.
2. The Charger feels like it has twice the power
3. Luxury appointments are about the same
4. Roominess is better in the 300m (but not by much)
5. Price is close (32k vs 38k)
6. Fun factor - Its hard to remember back to 1999 when I got the 300m, I remember it being pretty fun, but the Charger is such a rush to drive!

I still have the 300m - the dealer wanted to give me $5k - carmax offered $6500, I'm going to list it this week in the post for $7500. BTW: I traded a '92 Camaro RS 8 cylinder for the 300m.

And thanks to whoever posted the link to http://www.chargerforums.com - it is definately the site I was looking for.

My buddy who is greatly into off-road jeepin' wants to build a classic Charger (General Lee Style) so that may be in the works for me.

I'll just occasionally lurk around here until I do take the plunge and get that classic Charger. I'm pretty addicted to creature comforts like A/C, GPS and a DVD player. And it's hard to find one with A/C. I added A/C to my '66 LeMans (Vintage Air) and it wasn't fun. Better to get the A/C firewall.

Why else would you be on this forum if the classic Chargers didn't interest you ???
I don't think you got the spirit of my post.  EVERYONE is welcome, but the site is about the Muscle era Chargers.
BTW: There's no need to use profanity, you own a classic Charger, I wouldn't tell you to f$%k off.

I wasn't aware Troy sold the site to doctorpimp? Is there a thread about it somewhere?  :shruggy:

Check your ego pimpdaddy. To think you had any say in what this site was called or how it's run, is strictly in your head. You're a member of a free site...nothing more, nothing less.  :Twocents:

Oh and Shakey, Canadian or not, you are one cool dude.   ;)

There is absolutely no need to flame anyone.   :icon_smile_angry:
There was no implication that I called the shots here etc.
Why would you jump down my throat about what I posted?  I wasn't belittling anyone nor was I being a dickhead.
Check your ego.
And what does being "Canadian or not" have to do with someone being cool?

Holy cow, I thought Silver was the board (fill in the blank), but obviously you make a good candidate.  :o

Your posts made it seem like you had some say around here (which you don't), which is why I responded.

I didn't jump down your throat, you stood out amongst the others with your "How this site is run" attitude, which (once again) made me respond. You were, and still are being a dickhead. You are a member, not the judge. YOU have no say on how this site is run. Read your own replies, and you will also realise how much of a dickhead you sound like.

And to finish it off, the Canadian thing was not directed towards you...you being the genius that you are should have known that though.

that is just not cool.  why do you have to call people names?  that is definitely not what this site is about.  I do not have to be the site owner or moderator to figure that one out.

this thread just needs to go away before it gets worse.
